Hikaru went for killer blow. He sacrificed way too many pieces in the process. But somehow it didn’t work. Now, if Hikaru came back to play on, it would b a disaster for him as he was so many pieces down. At that point, Draw is his best way out.

Yes, you're perfectly right, but after nf6 Magnus would have done kg7. Then rg3, kxf6, maybe re1 to prevent black king from escaping to e5, but I don't see and checkmates for Hikaru furthermore

After Kf7 Nakamura missed Rg7+ Kf6, RxRe7 with a discovered check from Qh8 so KxRe7 is forced and then Qg7+ takes the black queen no matter where black king goes and White wins.
