The speed on these matches is just at another level, even when these two play against other GMs on Bullet they still take some time to think, here I blink and half of the board is gone, not only they are going all out, you also feel like they are somewhat in sync, truly the greatest duo in chess.

Idk why but for some reason it felt like Hikaru today was alwyas in control of the match, even with that final close score. He was chilling on stream and dropped some games when he got sleep in font of the wheel, but never felt on a hurry. Meanwhile, yesterday against Fijrouza was a real struggle for him, and he even had an actual breakdown when the match was over.

He was in control most of the match, but watch the last 5 games (one regulation and 4 OT) with the score tied. Hikaru was totally lost in the first 4 and well down in the last game. Hikaru drew the 1st then went 3-1. His resiliency in bad positions is incredible.

@@lhorddrake5602 Magnus beat hikaru in both bullet and 3 mins portions in the last speed chess championship fyi so that proves he can be faster than hikaru. What happened today is unfortunatelly more of a scam than anything else because magnus, or who ever would end up in the loser bracket, had to first win 2 matches in a row to clear the bracket and then immediatelly play the 3rd match. It was 1 match per day in the winners bracket. Only a moron cant see the problem 😂

Its a Double elimination format so every player has 2 lives if you lose you go to the loser’s bracket and try to go back to the Grand Final after losing to alireza magnus played danya (who lost to hikaru in the semifinals) he won against him and then played alireza again (who lost to hikaru in the winner’s final) and Magnus won against him as well that’s how he came back to the final to play hikaru who hasn’t lost a match against anyone

@@tafeahmed1432Terrible format, Naka who won every game has to play someone in the final of the winners then the grand final which makes no sense, since he is playing someone who has already lost atleast once.

@@dexio8601 Naka had 2 lives as well so for example if he lost to Magnus in the grand finals he will have another chance against him

When I watch two of the best chess players in the world go head to head playing some of the most complex bullet games ever, what I definitely want from the commentators is to spend 15 minutes making cringe jokes about Nickelback.

I don’t consider a bullet chess is a chess. Chess is a game of thinking and enjoying it. The bullet chess is like Brazilian street football (soccer). And the real chess like the classic real football (soccer)
