Hike

Hiking Thorn Benchmark: San Gabriel Mountains (Angeles National Forest), CA.
Sometimes hikes can seem more like a chore rather than a voluntary exercise. That's more or less how I feel about hiking Barley Flats Road. The hike is on a paved road with no shade. Because of that, the hike seems longer than what it actually is. I had hiked Barley Flats previously, but had bypasses Thorn Benchmark. At the time, it seemed like a good idea, but with my current wisdom, I know better now. Because here I am again, repeating the effort. So with a free afternoon, I was back to make up for my previous oversite. Check off one more San Gabriel Mountain!
