Thank you very much, Nigel, for these three episodes of the Lady Anne's Walk. They are beautifully filmed, with your informative and interesting narration. I enjoyed especially of the sunny and green landscapes, because currently here in the South of Finland we are shivering with -21 oC, and lots of snow.

Hi Paul, glad you enjoyed the series and I certainly appreciated the interesting comment. I need to stop moaning about the rain and the fact it’s near to freezing! Take care and stay warm, Nigel

Just caught up with this last part after getting back from a walk myself (South Downs Way, my longest yet!). Such a different part of the country and unseasonably hot for October. Have really enjoyed the historical thread of this one, thank you for taking time to show us round the castles as well as across the countryside.

Nigel, thanks for walking Lady Anne's Way and committing it to video. Sorry to see you got lost on day 5 - the only time I got lost on Lady Anne's Way was twice on day 1 the first time around - just before Halton East, and again just before Grassington. I'm guessing you had some time constraints on the last section from Long Marton, missing out Brougham Hall (and it's amazing door knocker), and not filming right to the end of the trail near Penrith Castle - admittedly, some of that last day is rather boring, especially the long sections of road walking. Had my plans not gone awry, I would've started to physically walk it for the third time in about a week's time, however it was nice walking it virtually with you. Cheers, and I look forward to your next adventure.

Thanks Ryk, appreciated your constant companionship on this journey. Yes that last section, especially the long road was a bit boring, but the castle certainly made up for it. Although I walked along the river for the last couple of miles to the station opposite Penrith castle, I felt the story finished better where Lady Anne died. Also, I had filmed Penrith castle previous, for the ending of another video, so that influenced my decision as well. Yes the door knocker, I have a plan! It might be part of something else, will let you know in due course. Thanks for all your support and comments and I am still enjoying your list of other trails. Cheers

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the background info, I can take no credit, the actual guide book has excellent history notes, better than most guide books I've used previously. Thanks for watching, you are a star!
