Well not exactly what I was hoping to hear today regarding the travel restrictions. Hope your travel plans aren’t to affected. We will be canceling some campground bookings we had for next week outside of our health region. Fingers crossed for the June 15th announcement. Cheers from Lolo - Van’s Best Friend.

We had to make two cancellations as well! And yes, crossing fingers for June 15th (just made some reservations for the 16th). In the interim we will return to a few local spots. Be safe and be well!

I feel the same way here in Southern Ontario. Waiting and hoping for restrictions to ease. So I’ve been doing the maintenance and prep too. All that’s left is a thorough windshield cleaning an Rain-x, pack and stock and we’ll be away. Of course, I thought we were close in December and had planned to go winter camping in Algonquin Park in January. Then February. Managed a 3-day trip in March during the one week that restrictions were lifted. Suffice to say, I’m not holding my breath, but I am preparing. And hoping. Safe travels, and thanks for your always interesting videos.

We may be a bit optimistic, but crossing fingers for now! We are allowed to do some local trips under current rules, so that will likely be our trips if no changes next week. Just noted that we need to do that windshield cleaning too! Appreciate the comments and be safe and be well!

We are under tight travel restrictions also; not supposed even leave our own community until mid June at the earliest. Gorgeous paddle scenery as always; amazing wildlife shots! Thanks for sharing.

We may be a bit optimistic for too many changes as early as next week, though we can now do some local travel. Likely a phased plan as long as all our health indicators keep improving! Glad you enjoyed the video...early mornings are often the best! Be safe and be well! 🚐

Appreciate the comment! It’s often about ‘when you go’ than ‘where you go’...mist on water, twilight or the golden hour, and not many others around can make almost any place a little more special! Let’s hope for more travel opportunities soon!

Another excellent video, despite the restrictions glad you are able to get out and enjoy your stunning countryside.We are now able to travel widely in the UK and a small number of overseas countries but general wider travel is not encouraged.The weather has been poor so we have been unable to take advantage of travelling too far, it appears that many here in the UK will spend their holidays within the UK making accommodation a challenge and possibly quite expensive. I understand that Motorhome and camping holidays are in great demand.Hope the restrictions in BC will come to an end soon and you get travel further afield as I look forward to seeing more stunning videos.Take care.😁👍🍺🍷🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Glad you enjoyed! Nice to hear that everything is gradually opening up; we expect similar here, though that will vary by province with some still seeing quite high COVID cases. Likely a busy summer for same reasons as you noted for the UK, and expect it will be hard to find spots to camp during the main summer season. We were just checking a private campground that we like and they noted that they are so busy that they cannot respond to phone calls, asking instead that you leave a message and they will get back to you within 72 hours. The US CDN border is closed for at least one more month, so that will limit options as well. Regardless, we will still likely find a number of great spots, perhaps less well known and are looking forward to a hopefully closer to normal summer! Appreciate the comments and update! 🚐

Hi thanks for the wonderful nature video.🦫🚣🏾‍♀️If I missed it, sorry- have you decided on your next vehicle?
@hikenrv
@hikenrv 3 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed...it was a fun paddle! As for a vehicle the answer is no....we were talking to one of the other RV manufacturers sales reps and he noted that trying to buy one of theirs now would be very difficult...huge waiting list! Combination of high demand and slower production due to COVID (and RV parts supply side issues as well). That appears to be a common challenge for most. We will likely continue with ours for sometime yet as a result, plus it does meet our needs most of the time.

Excellent video (of course) - looks like the restrictions will change after the long weekend so hopefully you get your reservations! We just picked up a new ARB awning with an enclosed tent option (so our kitten can be outside and not run off), so we're cleaning and prepping the van with the hopes we can get away! We want to head east of Hope since now my husband is addicted to those samosas from the food truck you recommended and it's been a year since we've stopped for one! We just need to stay at more rec sites since it looks as if all the provincial campgrounds will be full this year. Happy travels and look forward to new videos!

Haha, we were literally just saying the same things about the travel side (including a serious Samosa craving!). We will look for a Westy with a new ARB awning on our travels! Let’s hope things continue to improve! Be safe and be well! 🚐

So glad you enjoyed!. Hopefully our various indicators keep moving in everyone’s interest; weekly case numbers and hospitalizations continue to go down, positivity rate etc all dropping so far and we are at about 60% of eligible population now with initial vaccination so looking good! We may be a bit optimistic for next week though.

Glad you enjoyed! It was nice early, but note that later on in day it may get a lot busier on occasion...rowers use for practices. Strongly suggest adding the Widgeon Slough area to any trip...(see last half of this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZbRlqywjpWLY7M) and congrats on the new kayaks!

We most often use our Alpacka Explorer Packraft (used in this video) and love it. Had for many years and it is great...to use when hiking or in our van. We did a review here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZbRlqywjpWLY7M. The pump was picked up separately and we touch on it in video as well. Thanks for watching and safe travels!
