Abiqua falls is very pretty short hike but amazing area! It is actually the picture for my channel thumbnail. Better done in the summer easier to access and great place for a picnic and water play. Glad to see you getting out with your family such a great bonding experience!

Thanks for sharing these. I went to Abiqua Falls maybe 10 years ago. It was no problem driving a regular car to the big parking area. As you found out, the trick is finding the trail which is at the upstream end of the parking area. Butte Creek Falls is an easy walk. No pack needed unless you are carrying camera gear or other stuff. Where to have lunch is further upstream from the Butte Creek Falls trailhead. The road will cross over the creek, and then not much further on the left is a picnic/camping area along that section of creek.

There are a few trails that we saw, but some are MUCH steeper and quite a bit more dangerous.

Do you give hiking tours? :) I'm moving up to study water resource science and conservation at OSU and as someone who grew up a flat lander, I feel like I could learn so much from you. Thanks for your videos!
@HikeOregon4 жыл бұрын
I do not offer personal tours. Just keep checking out my website www.hikeoregon.net for tons of hike information and I do enter people into group hike giveaways at the end of each year. So stay tuned for that. You can also join the Hike Oregon Facebook group page where you can meet other hiker enthusiasts and people to go hiking with.

Yay!!! I hope you had a great time! Did you go behind the falls?
@Hefmier6 жыл бұрын
Yes, I had a great time, in spite the extra walk to the trailhead, due to the gate being locked. And yes, I did go behind the upper falls. My trip would not had been that fun if I passed on this. :)
