Sleepwalkers tend to be in la-la land and "not with it" at all. The mom handled it well, takes a tap on the shoulder or some prodding to snap them out. Usually it's the person sleep walking that's at risk of injury, because of walking into something or falling. Then of course some people become much more prone to it with certain medications, which also makes figuring out the condition more fun. Admittedly it does look creepy due to the abnormal state of it.

I’ve slept walked before it’s weird as hell to not be conscious of what you’re doing. I’ve woken up and the shower was on in my bathroom. @Mr. ET I like your open mind, but I don't think a rear choke would be good for a cougar. It's good for humans because we have relatively big round heads in relation to our necks. A cougar's head is relatively flatter and its neck relatively bigger so its harder to keep it in a choke. But still, wrestling it and hitting it might work. Smaller, weaker less experienced people than you have survived cougar attacks. Bloody and mauled, but they did manage to fight off the cougar. Some by gauging its eyes, others by just continuing to fight it. But they do have big sharp claws.
