When I was a paramedic we had a 2 car accident where they must have been driving around 5-10 miles per hour. There was no damage and it happened in a parking lot. Police told me that the driver that was “hit” told the other driver that if he gave him $100 he wouldn’t go after him for “damages”. The guy said “no” and so the scam artist wanted us to take him to the ER with pain all over his body. He had head pain, chest pain, neck pain, back pain, abdominal pain, hell when I asked about fingers and toes he said yes. Since he had so much trauma we strapped him down onto the backboard so he couldn’t move even a millimeter. Told the nurse at the hospital what happened and about his little scam he tried to do and said he would stay on the board for a while. They were busy. Hate scammers

Those guys were pros, I recognize the style. High vis vest, broad daylight, going into homes you know are vacant. They haven't caught up to modern times however. Doorbell cameras are everywhere. Even if you see it and disable it, it's got you on camera coming up to disable it. If your face isn't captured, the owner still gets an alert and can watch the video of a masked person disabling their camera, and can then call the police. Doorbell camera = either don't bother, or blitz the place. Because you've only got about 5 minutes for a burglary call where the owner isn't home and no one is in immediate danger.
