The original was so much creepier. I saw both of these years ago. I don't remember whether I connected them at the time or not, though. But yeah, seems pretty blatant. As long as you give credit and say it's a "reimagining," then I don't think there's an issue. But if you try to claim it as your own original idea, that's not so cool.

I'm watching a bunch of hikiko movies now and they definitely ripped it off. Not only scene for scene but the urban legend is so well known you can't just steal the character and call it shi or w.e (hikiko, hikiko vs split face woman, hikilo vs the kokkuri so far)

I called the uploader out for being a thief and his dumb fans are defending him saying he got inspired. No it's stealing. Everything looks the same. Ppl have no class.
