It is amazing that you appear to be in the middle of nowhere and after the first climb, the highway. The hills certainly blocked out the traffic noise. Very true about the water. You can never have too much. I've underestimated it so many times that I now probably carry too much. Beautiful trail. It looks so barren, but there is so much life, too. The river is so wide and slow flowing. Stunning vistas and a stark contrast to the surrounding areas.I have the same issue. I can get it to start, but not stop. I've given up on it. The phones won't recognise Amanda's voice either. Her accent isn't that broad, but it will recognise mine because I don't have an accent. You'd say I have an English accent, but I don't have a regional dialect, which seems to be Amanda's issue. I love the outtakes. You can tell from this that you really do enjoy what you do. Thanks! The desert is beautiful in its own way with colorful rocky hills and the plant life that can survive in the harsh environment. The Colorado River is very majestic in this area as well and is an oasis for those who like to camp in the area. Yes we could get the camera to start with voice activation, but not stop. LOL. Maybe we will figure it out someday. I have been waiting for your next video. I hope you are out on the trails!

This was a fun hike. Buckskin Mountain State Park is about 30 miles south of Lake Havasu. I had the giggles that day and I am not quite sure why, but it gave me an opportunity to add some bloopers to the end of the video. Ha ha. I hope you both are having a wonderful holiday season. Your video really captures the beauty of Arizona’s desert landscape. Yes, you need water in the desert. It's such an important reminder for anyone planning to hike! You guys did such a great job navigating those rocky trails! That hike looked tough but rewarding! That ‘teddy bear cholla’ sounds like the cuddliest cactus-until you get too close! But The cactus garden looks amazing!

Looked pretty dry and dusty out there. I was getting thirsty just watching. Some cool cactus along the way. I've never seen a cactus out in the wild. The water looked calm and some awesome photos with the reflections. A massive caravan or should I say RV park at the side of it. Almost like they're drawn to an oasis. I guess the camera doesn't like to listen to you 🙂

Yes this is definitely and oasis in the desert. It is a very nice place to camp and many people come from northern states and Canada and stay in the area for the winter. The camera was not cooperating and while we could get it to start by voice activation, we could not get it to stop the same way. Ha ha. I hope that you are having a wonderful week! Take care.

The Buckskin Look Trail looks like an enjoyable moderate trail. The mountain and river views are great. I would love that cactus garden. We visited a succulent garden once in San Diego and seeing all the different types of cacti was fascinating. Thanks for taking us along for the hike - and for the entertaining bloopers too!

Yes since we are from Minnesota, we usually have lots of trees on the trails as well. However this is a nice trail and if you hike it in the winter months, it is cooler and has some beautiful views of the Colorado River and desert hills. I hope you are doing great!

Thanks! You really don't have to worry about rattlesnakes in Arizona in the winter months, as they generally hibernate from later in October until March. Since we were hiking in January, I wasn't really concerned. Glad you liked the bloopers! We could not get that camera to shut down with voice activation. LOL. Have a great day!

such an amazing hike at Buckskin Mountain State Park. and the view at 0:45 is so stunning. walking on the pedestrian bridge is pretty cool, another stunning view at 1:32. a very scenic Buckskin loop trail. I will enjoy discovering the flora and fauna of the area, and the cacti of course. a nice spot at 4:33 to sit down and take a break before the return part of the loop. that's so cool at 6:10 you are standing on the state of Arizona while the other side is California. and then sitting on the bank of the Colorado river eating apples what more can you ask for 😀 I want to go there 😀thank you fro sharing.

Arizona is so beautiful and this looks like a beautiful state park to hike Anita. I love the rock formations of this place and the creosote bushes and cacti are pretty. I was surprised to see the highway there though, but like you said, its so pretty once you get in :) Definitely agree that you need lots of water when out hiking, the river was so so beautiful, a nice place to eat apples 😃 Its great that they have a cactus house there and I loved the views all around. A place that we would love to camp. Funny bloopers guys, the camera was being very disobedient 🤭 That was fa fabulous place ~ Anna 👍

Buckskin Mountain is a lovely state park right on the Colorado River. We really liked the hiking trails back in the mountains. They are well marked and easy to follow. Thanks so much!

Yes the elevation did go up and down a bit, but it was a lovely desert environment. The weather was just about perfect on that day for a hike as well. Thanks!
