LOVELY music! Love the San Juans. Sad, though, to contemplate passing sweet lakes and streams full of trout without any attempt to engage them. :-> Good for you, though, for engaging life rather than spectating! At 67 I am determined to continue to do this until they pry my hiking poles out of my hands. See you on the trail, friends.

We were ten miles south of the Ute trail when we camped. We hiked out the next morning.

Hows the road on the way in? Does it get too muddy for large trucks?

It was rough. Not too muddy for a large truck as long as it is high clearance.
