Good Sir!!! Another most excellent video! Thank you for posting! I followed in your footsteps and just walked out today (Pharaoh - Shadow - Out). You have captured the trip beautifully. Many thanx. D
Noticed you are using a Durston X Mid. ......just curious what you opinion is on this tent?? Enjoy the videos. Thanks for sharing.

The Durston is an awesome tent. I have both the original version of the X-Mid 1P, and the Solid version. Dan has put a lot of thought into the design of the tent and it shows. It's also very well made. Taped seams. Extra reinforcement in the right places. Huge vestibules. Two doors. I put my pack in the vestibule just outside the door that I'm not using, so it's accessible through the night if I need something (my food bag is hung up or in a food locker). My rain gear, etc. that I might need the next morning are in the vestibule just outside the door that I use, ready for me to put on if needed. Perfect setup. I will get Dan's Z-Flick Tent Pole (once it's in stock) for emergencies. I always worry that I'll snap/break one of my hiking poles (my buddy did on the last morning of our South Boundary Trail hike), which would make tent setup a problem. I highly recommend the Durston tent(s). Reasonably priced too, considering what you're getting.

@@jjinthemountains369 Thanks for the info here......got mine on order with z flick poles as well. I have seen some comments mentioning the foot print is rather large and can be hard to get the tent into tight spots??? Also did it take long to learn setting up ......ie finicky using trekking pole tent vs free standing???

@@headinthemountains1666 The footprint is somewhat large because the tent is almost square because of the 2 doors and the 2 vestibules. Larger footprint than a free-stander? Probably. But nothing that won't work. You'll be pleased with your new tent. And Dan has some good videos out there showing tent setup. It's not difficult. The important thing, as he says, is to get a real good rectangle when you stake the 4 corners.
