I really enjoyed Section D. I'll definitely hike it again sometime. Hoping to volunteer with the GDTA this summer and do some trail work in the area just north of Amiskwi Pass, down to the Collie Creek Alternate.

One of my best hikes ...I hiked it when I was 14, 60 yrs ago, with the Golden high school outdoor club. I have since ridden by horseback to and back to the divide from the Golden side in 73, and hiked to the divide and back in 2021... I'm planning a through hike in 2023... I only wish parks would buck up and fix the trail on the park side.....Very much enjoyed your video ...Dan Durston lives 2 blocks from my house. They have a little girl now, born to Dan and T in 2022 .

Hey Gord, not Connie ... good luck on your thru-hike next year, hope it goes well! Yeah, you're not the only one wishing the Parks would fix trails. Thanks for watching.

It was great meeting Dan and working with him a couple of weeks ago on the stretch just north of Amiskwi Pass, which I've documented in my video "Trail Building on Canada's Great Divide Trail". Dan's a great guy and fun to be around. It was lots of hard work up there, but worth it.

An interesting vid unfortubnatly some of screen text was a bit too small to read on my tablet a a few too many words to read before it went of the screen. Wonderful country side, I'm now going to binge watch the rest of your vids!

Geoff, thanks for watching and hiking along! Unfortunately, text size is the biggest issue I face when editing and posting my videos. People watch these videos on smartphones, tablets, small TV's, and large TV's. I had complaints/comments that the text size was "too big" in my first videos (probably because they watched it on their big TV), and I've since had similar comments to yours (in fact, one of the guys who I hike with) saying that the text now is too small. This, after down-sizing the text from the initial comments. I will be posting another video in a few days ... a half hour "condensed" version of my 75-minute long Jasper South Boundary Trail video posted a year ago. The text will be larger (than the text in this one). And going forward, it will be larger, I figure bigger is better than smaller. Cheers.

nice vid!! What cam are you using?
@jjinthemountains369 Жыл бұрын
I use a Panasonic 4K camcorder with an external mic. Great zoom on the camera, and a really sensitive microphone (sometimes too sensitive, lol ... heavy breathing, etc.). Thanks for watching!

I thought maybe you meant 115F, nice and toasty! Yeah, not much warmer here in southeastern British Columbia. She's a cool winter right now in the Canadian Rockies.
