I’m still binge watching, and I gotta say the appreciation I have for the playlists is next level!!! At the beginning of this whole thing, I had to scroll for minutes at a time to get to the year 1 vlogs. Then it hit me....when I saw Kara’s desktop and when I realized that she edits... Kara's Aussie accent was 'interesting'.:-) It's thought the accent comes from the east side of London where most of Sydney's original convicts came from. I lived in Sydney for 25 years before moving to the UK and I still have to listen carefully. Great video and loads of memories.

Love your videos, I am just upto this one catching up as only recently discovered you both. Any plans to explore more of UK and if so please venture outside the capitals, you should research Liverpool in North West England (I used to live there and could always help with what to do) the people there are great and like Americans due to a former WW2 air base just outside of the city. Anyway I am sure you get loads of suggestions. Great vids keep it up!!!

I went to AUS about 4 years for a month and loved it! You need to spend more time in Sydney, so much to do and see! Also, you need to go up the coast to Brisbane because it's beautiful!!!! Also, you should go to the outback! I hope you guys to go back!

I will never forget my first fish and chips, when I as a 19 yo went to England (from Finland) as an au-pair. My lovely host family took me on a short day trip to Windsor and we sat on a bench outside of the castle eating with our hands. It was such an amazing experience. Best food ever

But it happened to me on honeymoon in Zadar, Croatia! 🤣 So freaking scary at the time and was so angry at the bus driver as he almost took off at the same time and I was handing my husband my bags! Before you landed in Australia, had you learned to say "G'day"? : ))) I've always said it sounds like British with a touch of American Southern sprinkled in. I've also had that weird experience of thinking of it as strange to once again hear English. It's interesting how our minds work, isn't it? Kara, ya did a good job, might, o' speakin' "Strine". Even if you have to get it online when you get home, you need to look for a little paperback called "Let stalk Strine", which spells things the way they're pronounced in Australia. It's hilarious!
