The Yongala Shipwreck near Ayr, Australia is one of the top dive sites in the world, and we experienced the most incredible underwater moment we’ve ever had. Then we took a ferry to Magnetic Island with a large wallaby and koala population (plus the deadliest snake in the workd) ;)

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this KZbin channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Kara's Australian accent is actually improving a lot and rapidly. (Yes, I'm an Aussie). She's starting to get the vowel sounds a lot closer to ours rather than sounding cockney.

@@KaraandNate Yes, I'm a Brit, and I noticed that one of Kara's sentences was convincing. Nate tried but sounded somewhere between England and Oz. I understand Americans find it hard to distinguish between English and Australian accents, but I think Kara seems to 'get' it. I would love to go to Oz in their winter - I've been a few times, but only in their summer.

Every country is a great place to be, just exercise safety precautions and dont go to places with high crime rates. Try avoiding some countries in Asia, Africa and South America

As a local Aussie (pronounced Ozzy by the way), who has lived in both Townsville and in New South Wales I have to say that Kara pulled off the best Aussie accent I've ever heard an American attempt. Not even a hint of sounding British which is what Americans tend to sound more like when they attempt our accent. Great work Kara!! 100% believable Aussie accent!!!

I lived in Ingham for a year as an exchange student and got to visit Townsville quite a bit. We stayed at Magnetic Island for our 1st exchange student get together (Rotary) and I loved every minute of it. Very beautiful there, but the summer was brutally hot and humid...... luckily my host family had air conditioning.

Wow, I can sure see why Yongala Shipwreck is one of the top dive sites! How deep is it down to the wreck? The variety of corals, anemones, and mobile life make it spectacular. It's always awe inspiring to be surrounded and investigated by underwater wildlife. Great video, guys!
