HIKING | BULL PEN AND INDIAN MAIDEN FALLS

I have not search much about this trail. All I know is, it is a short hike from the parking and the parking area can be really full so you have to arrive early. For our case, we arrived late in the afternoon when most people are hiking out already. It was a moderate difficulty with some elevation gain but mostly flat. I was tempted to jump from the top of the rock but I don't want to embarrass myself when people realize that I couldn't swim! After hanging out at the Bull Pen, we drove deeper in the wilderness to find a dispersed campsite close to the trailhead of the Indian Maiden Falls. It was chilly up the hill and the area is really beautiful! There were some people who's hiking out in the dark from the Maiden Falls

Don't let the short mileage fool you. This is a strenuous hike! We woke up early in the morning and drove to the trailhead. It was just 5 minute from where we camped. I chose to wear water shoe because I know I will be in the water most of the time when we get to the creek and I don't want to switch from boots to sandals every time. So I made sure my footing are good whenever I step on the sketchy parts. It would help a lot if I had a hiking pole with me! There's a lot of boulders to scramble as we hike our way to the falls. The last part was not a hike but swimming and scrambling a little bit more. It was a fun experience even though the water was cold. It felt forever to get to the falls but as soon as I saw the waterfall from far, it brightened my day. It was beautiful! I wish I camped here instead at the trailhead. I spent about half an hour at the falls admiring how beautiful the place is before we started our way out so we don't hike in the dark. It was almost sunset when we got out of the trailhead. Why nobody talked about the hardest part of this trail is the hike back up?! I was about to cry, probably because its been months that I have not done a hike then I went to this hard one.
