Yes, Fossil "Springs" is now Bob Bear Trail and is a completely different waterfall than Fossil "Creek" which I explain in the video. Make sure to book your stay at The Strawberry Inn which is located only 13 minutes from the trailhead (discount code below)

Technically it's not the "Waterfall". This is what's left of the old dam. It is a waterfall and most like it better than the actual "waterfall" that is on the Fossil Creek side. I am with the Fire Dept here on Fossil Creek rd and we respond to many rescue situations due to people that were not prepared for the hike or just underestimating the distance. This hike is no joke and can be very costly for a rescue, so please BE PREPARED and know your limits. If it takes your 2.5 hours to get down, then it will probably take you 3 to 4 hrs to get out. It gets dark fast and the trail is no fun in the dark. Rescues take hours and unless it's a high chance of death emergency, you are not a priority and it could take hours to get to you. Helicopters are $$$$ and only used in extreme emergencies. YOU WILL HIKE OUT IF WE HAVE TO HIKE IN JUST TO BRING YOU WATER, FOOD OR YOU BROKE YOUR INAPPROPRIATE FOOTWEAR!! Hiking down and out is the equivalent to hiking out of the Grand Canyon. This trail is not as manicured as Bright Angel trail. Ok with all that said... Have a great hike and enjoy the place and like she said.. LEAVE NO TRACE

I've only been to the creek end. It's my favorite place on Arizona and I've been here 16 yrs and explored a good amount of this state. Still have to do the Spring. Took my kids when we went though so wanted the hike to be easier for them.

Hi! Did your car make it okay? I’ve been wanting to do this hike but it was saying recommended a midsize vehicle preferably a truck because of the roads. Is a car safe?
