Hiking Hunters Pass Winter | Dix Range | Adirondacks

Quite possibly the one of the least traveled High Peaks section of trail in winter. Hunters Pass, formally known as "Gorge of the Dial" in the 1800's is a historic route, and one for the books.

Loved Hunters' pass! My 8 year old did the entire range this summer with me....peaks 13-17. This was her second favor part next to the slide.

i had to go down both branches of the lillian brook trail and got lost both times just because of how bad that trail is in the summer

Pretty cool, I did the exact hike this Summer but in the opposite direction coming up hunters pass and I was surprised how low traveled it was. Winter hiking almost looks easier cause less rocks, roots, mud, etc.
