@@tfsincms Thank you, it was tough carrying my pack but worth it for the views as they were magnificent & we were blessed with ok weather 😁. Would definitely love to do it again in the future.

Did you find the Crocs good to cross the river in, were they secure enough as I see some people put on neoprene scuba shoes which definitely don’t come off. I like Crocs though as they can also be used in the campsite toilets/showers

Hi, yes we found the crocs worked great for us on this hike. Easy & secure in the river crossings, great for the camp sites and showers, plus they dry so quickly unlike scuba shoe 😊

Very true about the scuba shoes they take ages to dry even the mesh ones

Congrats. The weather was definitely on your side. You didn’t press on with the Fimm afterwards? We did them in July but the weather was atrocious. So bad that we couldn’t pitch our tent. Just bad luck for us.

@@davidbracey3150 Sorry to hear you had bad weather. Yes we were certainly lucky the weather was good for us over those few days & we also done it in July. Unfortunately we didn’t go on to Fimm due to time restrictions & having friends waiting for us in Reykjavik. Hopefully we will get to go back & do it all again one day in the future 😊🥾

I just came from the packing list video, did you check your bag with the tent attached on the outside?

Do you mean airport checkin? If so we stayed in Reykjavik the night before and for a few days after our hike. We took a big (100L) duffle bag with our backpacks & contents inside, packing up the pack the night before we left. Leaving the duffle bag with the hotel for when we returned. Hope that helps, if not let me know 😊

Hiked the trail in late August. Thanks for the video - loved being able to see it from another’s perspective. I overnighted in Landmannalauger and only went to Hrafntinnusker the first day. Also had good weather but a few days after I finished four hikers had to be rescued from the trail above Alftavatn due to a very bad storm. If you want to do an amazing hike in the US, consider the Teton Crest Trail, sections of the Continental Divide Trail in the Wind River Range - both in Wyoming; or the northernmost section of the Pacific Crest Trail in Washington. All of these are spectacular. ✌🏼🏕️🥾

Hiya Thank you for your message, glad you liked our video. What an amazing hike Laugavegur was. It’s great to hear your experience and adventure on the hike. We would love to do some hiking in the US especially the PCT… Maybe in the not so distant future. We are taking 9month career break and going travelling from end of December. Part of our travel plans is to hike to Camino Frances mid next year and you never know maybe we might also be able to add one of your recommendations to our plans if not next year definitely soon🥰😁 Happy Hiking 🥾
