Oh Mick, this was INCREDIBLE. I love those crags. The older I get, the more vertigo I have---yet I'm still called! Oh it's fun to take these trips with you. Beautiful, beautiful country. Oh! Jules

Thank You very much for your kind comment Jules, it makes this videoing lark worthwhile when people enjoy the footage. Back home now sadly but will be back in beautiful Scotland in August. Take care. Mick.

Mick - what a great find this opening with Byron!! Very fitting. What an impressive variety of weathertypes did we see this time eh? For once not a gale, LOL Hope to see many more expeditions like these with you - wishlist already in preparation - but next time i won't let me lure onto your finds of ironware. Another Chaplin act like here after 9:50 ought to be enough heh heh heh.

Thanks Wilco Yes I remember hearing the poem years ago and I thought if I ever got to Lochnagar it would be good to use it. Yes everything except a gale. Strange goings on lol. Us Northerners have a strange humour and a fascination with all things mechanical. So a combination of the two was inevitable up there haha. I look forward to many more Dutch/Anglo trips and hope I am there when you hit 200. Take care. Mick.

Excellent video... inspiring stuff... thanks for posting. Have to admit after the dumpertruck, I was expecting 'how to cross an ice field without crampons' to be sit on your coat, push, and say 'weeeeeee'. Looks like you had a great time... and gratz to Wilco on getting pass 100 Munros... I've still to do a Hewitt let alone a Munro. Might get the Dodd done in Southwest Northumberland next week - lol... if we don't get lost again. But really good video... been really enjoying them.

Thank You I wish that truck had been at the start and not the end then there would have been a vid of me and Wilco dumpertrucking over the tops lol. Enjoy your trip out and getting lost is part of the fun I think as long as your not too lost hehe. Thanks for your support. Take care. Mick.

Mick, what a stunning day (mostly) and what a beautiful place to explore. Looked like a challenging walk but well worth the effort. PS I look forward to your pronunciation of the Scottish mountains, please keep giving it a go ;-)

Thanks Gerry. Yes a long day but great hike, once high it's not too bad though. I always try and say the names and managed with the easy 3 but the other 2 were way too much for my Northumbrian twang lol. Had a couple of goes off camera but gave up haha. Take care. Mick.

Nice video, just stumbled across it! It's my favourite area. The group of tents at the start was my Bronze DofE group, I think!

Yes a fantastic day up there. Might have passed you then as we headed up haha small world. Thanks for watching. Mick.

Many thanks. I did this 52 weeks ago and it was a great day. What surprised me was the number of people who took their dogs on Lochnagar. but then they have twice as many legs as we do and so it will be half as difficult.

Thank you it's a fantastic walk I have great memories of this day. My little Jack Russell has quite a few Munro's under her belt and usually visits the summit 20 times before I get there. Take care. Mick.

Great opening poem Mick ! Well camouflaged indeed , if you had a good Whisky session you could be thinking " theres a rock flying around " lol.100+ for Wilco good stuff , funny i always thought you had more , i think i've done about 10 summits/ 7 munros . A long long day but a good one i'll try and get out with you both next year.

Thanks Eddie Aye funny birds, that one was very lethargic compared to the ones on Ben Macdui. They had Ruby demented haha running around clucking at her. I think this one might have had a rough night on the whisky too lol. I've done a few I've enjoyed twice over the years like An Teallach and Slioch but that doesn't count in the count lol. Would be great to head out with you and Wilco, we still have unfinished business in The Cairngorms , a 2 night , 5 Munro trip, would be great to have you along when we rearrange it ? Atb. Mick.

Not sure of Wilcos plans yet for his return later this year but if not this year it will definitely be next year. Be great to meet Billy & Julie.Texted Sinclair the other day and he mentioned Julie wanting to go. Julie could travel up with us no problem but need to sort details out with her, plenty time yet though. Looking forward to it bud.

What a day Mick, Great stuff! I love it up there seems a different world, What an effort from Wilco getting his 100th, Respect to that man! PS Spill the beans, What did you two do with the dumpertruck?
@blamhof8 жыл бұрын
Thanks Peter Yes hats off to Wilco, great effort as you say bud. I thought the truck would come in handy for collecting my iron but after several failed attempts to start the thing, I gave up. Which is perhaps a good thing considering the big drop in front of where it was parked lol. Take care look forward to your next outing. Mick.
