Hi everyone, thanks for watching as always! Just a quick note to say that, if you hadn't noticed, this video actually took place before the Christmas one we released last week. Reason being is that otherwise the Christmas vlog would have come out after the event, which seemed a bit pointless! Let's face it, no one wants Christmas related things past the 26th 😂 Things will return to normal order next time, though we will be skipping a week as we plan new content for January (and also because one of us has come down with a brutal cold 🤒). So we'll see you in 2 weeks, but in the meantime, thank you all for being here, taking the time to watch and comment on our videos and a big Happy New Year to all of you! 🎉🥳❤

We feel we've barely scraped the surface of Yorkshire! And yeah I can imagine the mud is even worse for you guys! Honestly if someone said to us what's the worst thing about vanlife in winter, it wouldn't be cold, or dark, I swear we'd say mud!

We've never got around to setting anything up like that yet - I think we just wanted to see where the channel took us and we're happy to keep putting out videos for now, but it might be something we look into further down the line. Hi Guys! Loved this video.... good info,good photography n love your humour! Bet you both slept well after that trek! Was definitely good vista from up there! My only nag...would be....please look into getting yourself some good walking boots n gear! If only t save yourself from twisting ankle or other injury - unless you fancy mountain rescue guys attending or an expensive ride in a helicopter😅 to say nothing about hyperthermia!!! Would hate f anything t happen t you that would cause your confidence in your adventures t stop you developing even more! N we all know what British weather especially at this time of year can be like! In the last week alone Ive had minus 2/3 degrees....major downpours n floods...gale force storms...n snow..t name but a part of it..n Im nowhere near as north as you were! ....would be good t know how long it took...n roughly what time of day you started. Looking forward t hearing about your other plans this month! (I wonder where i get t see next?) ❤

Hi Heidi, thank you so much for your concern, that's really nice of you ❤ You'll be pleased to know I've just got some new waterproof walking shoes so we're a bit more prepared now 😁 Just need a better winter coat. You're right conditions are so changeable and volatile here - we usually try to avoid proper hikes if we know bad weather's imminent. The hike we did was a circular walk and took about 2 to 3 hours I think but that was with stops and slowing down due to the mud. We started late in the day so only just made it back before dark 🙈 We parked in the car park by Captain Cook's monument- the walk would be much shorter if you just headed to Roseberry Topping and back We're travelling on a whim this month, so not 100% sure of plans, but we'll definitely have a new video ready for next Sunday 👍

Absolutely love your videos, been a subsciber for ages. May I offer a word of advice, it would be lovely if you guys came across a bit more positive in your narrative. I think you're both friendly and funny but sometimes come over as a little negative at times. Hope you don't mind the comment ✌️x

Thank you for the feedback and for sticking around with our videos! We appreciate that sometimes it may seem on the negative side, but hopefully we have enough positive moments and videos to balance them out. We do try to be ourselves fully so that will mean showing the good and bad sides that tends to go with being honest in these videos. But equally I can appreciate that may be a bit much at times. I think the last few have been that way more perhaps, but certainly not intentional. Appreciate your honesty on the matter 👍

We didn't know much about him, which isn't great knowledge on our part, but I did have a feeling it would be somewhat murky, as always seems to be the case! 🙃But hey, it's all part of history I guess! Haha no Strawberry Fields as far as I know, though funnily enough we did head to Liverpool straight after this for a stint of work 🤪

Hi both, another entertaining video & another interesting place. I looked up Roseberry Topping because it's such a weird name, sounds like you'd put it on your ice cream or something! The name derives from Othenesberg or Odin's Hill named by the Scandinavian invaders & with some fiddling around with local place names apparently. I'm currently recovering from my first & hopefully last ever bout of covid which started well before Christmas so am just watching your video again as I wasn't concentrating too much first time round! You know what, despite being adamant we would, we completely forgot to look the name up when we finished, so thank you so much for that info! It makes a lot of sense it would go back that far. Sorry to hear about the covid, sounds like it's lasted for quite some time! I (Dan) am currently going through some awful winter bug, it's rarely happened in the van but this one's really wiped me out, so we'll be holding off on videos for a couple of weeks sadly, but hopefully we'll be up and running again soon-ish! @@comealongdear You sound like you may have covid too, we only know ours was because we did a test as otherwise we'd have thought it was just some horrible flu. I'm beginning to feel like myself again but with a cough & hubby is slowly getting there & he ended up with a chest infection too as he's not a fit man in any case, he's coughing for Wales. Take good care of yourself, maybe book into a cheap Airbnb for some home comforts if you can to get you properly warmed up & relaxed to start recovery. Big cwtch (hug) 🤗 to you both, look forward to seeing your next video when you're fully fit again. Xx
