There are so many Americans that are praying for those of you affected in all states, trying to volunteer donate and help how they can and we are OUTRAGED the military is refusing to help, our clown administration won't help and now the $750 'relief' fund just like Maui. Sick! We are on our own. Please tell your neighbors we are all wil you!
@Lvps2 ай бұрын
@@InSahnity The military and FEMA are NOT refusing to help. Whoever is leading you folks to believe that is dead wrong. Who do you think is flying the majority of those helicopters and bringing in water, fuel, man-power, critical repairs to infrastructure, restoration of services? There are entire caravans of trucks and flatbeds loaded with goods, supplies, machinery. CARAVANS! Led by vehicles with flashing lights, flashing lights on every vehicle, I have seen them in videos and probably so have you. They are getting there as fast as they can under difficult situations where interstates and bridges have been washed out and through-transportation is very difficult if not often impossible. Good grief. The malevolence of people spreading these rumors about our government not helping in this disaster is monstrous. This is not a Katrina situation where aid could be more concentrated over a finite area. This is a catastrophe spread over out a large area, many different states, a lot of it practically inaccessible by land now except by foot. This is one disaster that will take time and some patience overall, once the critical areas have been tended to and infrastructure and transportation has been restored. The major blessing of all of this is that the area is peopled with the strongest of people, Appalachia’s people, who know how to take care of themselves and look out for others, who are resilient and the ultimate survivors. I know all about the strong people of Appalachia. My family’s history (on both sides) in the mountains of Virginia, then North Carolina and Tennessee, and ultimately the hills of Kentucky goes back to the mid-1600’s. My heritage is as Scottish, Scotch-Irish, and Cherokee as it comes, and as my Granny used to say of her ten kids, “I didn’t raise no limbers.” My very souls is in these mountains and I know my family and mountain folk: Strong, hard-working, and willing and able to deal with adversity of all kinds. We knew how to be self sufficient if necessary. Mountain folk understand how hard it can be to get around up there. Granddad was a coal miner and a circuit rider on his mule, doing it the hard but necessary way. These are the strongest folks you ever want to meet. It will be slow, my family is contrary and slow as molasses in January, but they will make it all come right again.

It's great to see folks taking care for each other this way. A breakdown of roads like this reminds me how much a contribution ham radio operators make in emergencies.
