Hey, how long is the hike?
@LincolnintheAdirondacksАй бұрын
It's around 10 miles, but a lot of it is on lake road. Probably 4-5 hours total
@ullah2013Ай бұрын
@ Awesome thanks! 4-5 hours, back and forth ?
@LincolnintheAdirondacksАй бұрын
@@ullah2013 Total, but it does depend on the route you take too. You could make it longer if you took a scenic route

Someone really wants to ski:) What trail did you take and approx hiking time? Thanks for the video
@LincolnintheAdirondacks Жыл бұрын
We actually just took the Lake Road out to the base of Indian Head near the lake. There are definitely more scenic routes, but that’s all we had time for. It was 4.5 hours out and back.

@@mikestevenson4101 Rainbow Falls is a really quick add on so I definitely wouldn't miss it if you've never been there

How/ where do you get a permit to do this hike?
@LincolnintheAdirondacks Жыл бұрын
You get permits on hikeamr.org. You’ll setup an account and look for times. You can book two weeks out, but the next few weeks are basically the busiest hiking time of the year, so it could be tough, though not impossible, to secure a spot. Permits are required May 1-Oct. 31

@@LincolnintheAdirondacks thank you so much i will look into it as am going to the Adirondacks in about 4 weeks
@LincolnintheAdirondacks Жыл бұрын
@@mikec8978 enjoy! 4 weeks from now we should be in the shoulder season and trails should be less busy. It'll be a great time to hike! Bring micro spikes and keep an eye on the forecast. Snow is certainly a possibility in late October
