I met my wife here at this trail 45 years ago, we were at the same hiking group. Sad thing that she can't watching this beautiful video with me but I am really very thankful to you for bring me back such a wonderful memory. The trail looks much safer now, no rail, no rope.. back then.

Huangdidian is one of the "old classic hikes" in the Taipei area, long before hiking became a favorite activity in Taiwan. Guess at that time it was probably even difficult to get there by public transport.

Hi, can we go hiking to this HuangDidian during winter?
@Taiwaneverything6 жыл бұрын
Of course you can. It's actually better to go hiking in the low mountains of Taiwan during the cooler months because it's not as hot as in the summer. Just don't go there when it's raining. The rocks might get slippery.

Hi, how long is the bus from Jingmei MRT to Huangdidian? I want to climb it Nice video 😍
@Taiwaneverything5 жыл бұрын
30~40 minutes depending on traffic

Hi. Do you have a time table or an estimate for the bus? Also, can I pay with the normal bus card or cash only?
@Taiwaneverything6 жыл бұрын
Here you find the info for the bus, I think it's every 15~20 minutes (but note that there are three different routes for the 666 bus, you have to take either the Huangdidian (皇帝殿) or Huafan University (華梵大學) one. The routes are different once you pass the village of Shiding. If you take the Wutuku (烏塗窟) one, get off at Shiding and walk from there. You can pay by card or cash. It's a regular Taipei bus.

do you need a guide for this hike?
@Taiwaneverything6 жыл бұрын
No, no need for a guide. But you should not go alone, and be careful not to slip off the rocks.
