There are uncivilised people everywhere - quite a bit of litter in the gardens & parks of Sg too... On a happier note, the scenery is wonderful & temperature is perfect- what more could u ask for? Maybe a bak kwa to go with the bread? 😉 🧧 Wishing you & your family roaring success in the year of the tiger! 虎年幸福安康,吉祥如意! 🧧

I've tried to make it a habit, whenever I go on a hike, to bring a bag and leave the place a bit cleaner than I found it. It's a bit annoying to carry it back down, as your video shows, but it's a great example you're giving here, and helping others enjoy a more pristine nature can be added to the reasons you mention for hiking. Of course one can see the littering as a bit demoralizing, but I try to keep in mind that things just fall off backpacks at times, and children also are often forgetful and leave things behind, so you're not just cleaning up after bad people. 新年快樂 Richard, and thank you for your wonderful, inspiring videos! And here's to hoping that Andrew converts you to going vegetarian this year 😈

Lol… No doubt that if you were a little quieter, a little earlier (like couple of centuries), you’d be greeted by a family of Ewok in that hollow 😉 One will never image how quiet a forrest can be until one experienced one. A secluded serenity that you hear your own thoughts… Anyway, over analysing myself When you pulled out that slice of cheese, I immediately knew that it would be accompanied by a slice of ham and jammed into a piece of cheese bun. No matter how tasty, how wowing a foreign delicacy can be, there is just no replacement for the good old childhood snack / bite. Love the drone shoots into the sea of clouds. Love everything in the video (bar the rubbish dumping). Thank you Richard!
@Richard - You mentioned there are deer 🦌 in Taiwan 🇹🇼 ? In Okinawa (not far from Taiwan), there are no deer. Don't think there ever has been. But there is deer 🦌 in mainland Japan.

You may feel peeved when you find someone putting the pelleted garbage or empty bottles in the basket attached to your bike when you're away. These phenomena are very common in Taiwan. Although I don't want to use the perajative words to describe these people but I don't dispose kindly towards them. they should have been in others shoes and thought how the innocent people dispose of this dirty garbage for them in an orderly city. It's really rewarding to see mountains rise straight up above the cloud see or the pellucid water in the creek.

Enchanting area. Love trees and forests. The litter is sickening. Btw often when you are filming yourself speaking to camera, you mention stuff or views around you but you don't film it which is a bit annoying. You don't have to film yourself as you speak to the camera the whole time, instead film what you are talking about giving a commentary. We know how handsome you are we just want see what you are commenting on! Oh and maybe turn your mic sensitivity down a little or move it further from your mouth as your heavy breathing was really quite noticeable on this video. Sorry to be critical as your videos are good. Hopefully you'll take my points on board. Thank you for showing this hike. If I ever return to Taiwan I would love to do it.
