Love the series mate, looking forward to doing it in June. Would you recommend good walking boots as opposed to runners like you wore? Given the hard chalky rocks that I have heard wreck peoples feet!

Personally, I would recommend good quality trail runners with excellent soles. Feet can breathe and not rub as much too. I only had one small blister in the entire journey. Boots can provide ankle support but if they get wet (they will), they’ll take ages to dry. My feet were so much better for doing it in the runners. Runners are lighter too. Thats worth bearing in mind when counting grams and impact on your body. My trail runners handled the chalk and flint paths extremely well.
