Hiking Volcan Santa Maria: A Grueling Ascent in Guatemala’s High Peaks
Is located south of Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. It is 12,375 feet (3,772 m) above sea level. It takes up to 4 hours to hiking to the summit and two to three hours to descend. Climbing the volcano is extremely difficult not only due to the altitude but also the steepness of the terrain. Good physical and cardio condition is important to make this climb. Join me as I tackle one of Guatemala's most demanding hikes-[Volcano Name], located just south of Quetzaltenango! Standing at a staggering 12,375 feet (3,772 meters) above sea level, this volcano presents an extreme challenge for even the most seasoned hikers.
The trek to the summit is no easy feat, taking up to 4 hours of intense climbing. The steep terrain combined with high altitude makes every step a test of physical and cardio endurance. After reaching the peak, the descent will take you 2 to 3 hours, providing a chance to reflect on the incredible journey and stunning views.
