anyways let me explain what you just saw since I did an awful fucking job at defining the event:
so basically this is the version of the AU where Sunny goes missing, instead of being confirmed to be dead.
Now that Mari and her dad are out of the house, Basil finds more courage to search their house, looking for any clues that might be related to Sunny.
when he is in the backyard, he sees an area that looks like something's been buried under it in the dirt
so he digs it up

I feel like the most unsettling scene in this is the fact that Sunny is staring at Mari as she gets in the car. Something about the fact that he doesn't seem to follow her makes me feel uneasy and like his "soul" is trapped within the limits of the house and yard. I know it's probably not intentional, but I also like that Sunny doesn't appear as a "something" in this ending, it's just him staring at Mari as she leaves her little brothers soul at the house in a state of unrest because of what she did, while a darker version most likely follows Mari for the rest of her like (probably the something version of Sunny) Overall loved it! A lot darker than I thought it would be, and I love that the AU isn't identical to OMORI but with just reversed roles.

I feel like Something would be based on if Mari and Hero were burying Sunny's body (im asuming) and what she saw was that Sunny's eyes had shot open when se wasn't looking and was a bit covered in blood fron the wound, everything but under his eyes were buried. Well, it also could be said as Sunny's actual spirit. Something was never controlled or even wanted by Mari, it was just a product of fear and imagination. Mari is shown from time to time to have stayed with Sunny, for instance when she shows up at the piano, or in the mirror (not the hellmari version, but the other one), and several other instances. So perhaps here Sunny has a similar reaction - he approaches Mari even after death, though the resulting interaction, I do not know.

I think there should have been more decomposition considering its been quite a few years and Sunny was burried in seemingly shallow dirt and without a coffin. They decompose with bacteria from inside the corpse yes, but the more shallow the more heat and bugs have easy access to his body. ...You know, if this is how the Omari AU will indeed play out (or something like this), this is arguably even more darker than the base game since Sunny was probably deemed "missing" rather than having killed himself inexplicably. Kids go missing all the time, after all. No one would think he was lying in a shallow grave in the backyard. His friends and family wouldn't even get to have the closure of finding his body... Also, there's a theory that Mari actually didn't die from the fall in the base game, but rather died after being hanged. So if this was also true for Sunny in this case, that means he was buried alive, which is arguably one of the worst ways to die. Honestly, I love this even darker spin on the base game, great job!

It is an intresting way to look at it i think Basils character could use some more negative thoughts(i mean like him beeing the bad guy/taking revenge) he always tryed to hide it away in the game and him trying to take revenge at Mari would be an intresting fangame weather you play as Basil or as Mari as Mari would become more and more anxious about Basil trying to tell everyone the truth but this time there is noone to guide her throu the pain as she left her friends this could be taken as far as Basil trying to murder her or she would be going haywire from the stress and end up killing the flower boy and burrying him next to his best friend thease could be the "endings" im putting " beacouse the game already ended and its a bad ending so there isnt good outcome both of thease endings are bad especially when Basil murders Mari beacouse he would most likely be put into a mental hospital or he would even go as far as ending his own life as for the ending where Mari kills him she would go crazy probabley and she would also end her life but looking at Mari's character there is a chance she would turn herself in i would pay money to see this

Heres how i see the events, at least in my version of the omari au, so i will place a trigger warning as it does talk about the following topics: Death, and being buried alive and drowning. with that down the line, i will begin In this timeline, sunny and mari still have the fight that they had, however sunny manages to run out of the house towards the secret hangout spot. with mari following close behind him. Mari would continue to scold him for running away from her, especially for it being rather late in night. And Sunny does listen to her, and tries to calm his sister down, he hated to see Mari this angry. so he thought that he and mari could fix it together, and he apologized for breaking the violin and tried to go back to the house, however mari in her fit of anger kept him at the doc. and the fight would happen here, mainly sunny wanted to leave and avoid the situation while Mari in her anger pushes him into the lake, after a few seconds, Mari realizes what she has done to her little brother and jumps in to go save him, but ultimately he sinks further down the lake. the last thing sunny saw was mari reaching to save him. and mari due to the high amounts of stress and the lack of oxygen rendered unconscious in the water, Luckily Hero happened to hear the commotion and ran to the secret hideout spot, prior to the events that had happened, hero had gotten a text of a upset mari, and he thought it would be best to cool down the situation and sees mari jump into the water, running to go save her and afterwards went to save sunny, however sunny was suffering a cardiac respiratory arrest which makes it to where there is still no pulse but you are rendered unconscious. with hero assuming sunny dead, he quickly hatched up the plan to bury sunny with mari, however the saw kel basil and aubrey heading towards the front door and rushed it the last thing mari saw was sunny's face before covering it with dirt. hero told mari to get dressed and told the group that they couldn't find sunny and filled a missing person report. Now four years has passed since the incident, sunny still haunt's mari and hero was arrested by the police suspecting him of the disappearance of sunny. but basil still felt like hero was framed, and finally snuck into mari's old house right after she left, looking for any clues and sees the patch of dirt, as if there was something buried there, it doesn't take him long to see sunnys face, now determined to get Mari arrested and get revenge for sunny

Watching one year after this came out, and the only major issue I have is how Mari looks kinda peaceful leaving the town, and not too disturbed. I get that she wouldn't be as screwed up as Sunny was thanks to her being more mature, but I think an eyeshadow is warranted here.
