Thank you so much, your video saved my bacon! Most importantly the "Advanced IP Scanner"! I was working on a dead 48 port no name NVR and had to wait 2 weeks for a replacement 64 port Hikvision , and when I booted up the new NVR, I could only see 3 cameras. Turns out the rest of the cameras were Dahua. So after watching your excellent video, I ran Advanced IP Scanner, found all the missing cameras IP addresses. This then allowed me to change the label from Dahua to Onvif - job done.Thanks again!

Great vid! Quick question... I accidentally entered an IPV4 ip in the HIKVISION admin (thru explorer browser) and saved the setting, and the unit started beeping... and now I cant login to admin thru browser. My cam system WAS working, but I was trying to fix an issue: I could not view my cameras thru the iphone app when NOT on wifi. Do I need to factory reset to get back into the unit? Or hook up the NVR to a PC? Please advise, thanks! DJ

Is there a way to view the cameras via the internet? We have the NVR behind the firewall on the network and need to access it from outside of the internet. I've already assigned a static public IP and done the port forwarding...but nothing.

Can this DVR sit within a secure network, without having a path to the Internet? The network it will be sitting on is totally private and has no access to the Internet as all! Would there be issues have no internet access available to the DVR? I would assume the IVMS software would still working on a totally private network?

How do I delete an IP Camera from the IP camera Management menu? I have many unused channels on my NVR and I can't Add any more IP cameras because NVR says I have no more room (channels) available to add more cameras. I have reinitialized , rebooted, changed out HDD on NVR and the cameras are still there. Any help will be appreciated.
