2 years ago I rescued a Exotic Shorthair Tuxedo male . Hes the light of my life . I have found that if you brush his coat out once a week you will never have matting . Come spring time i start brushing out his undercoat twice a week.And i do this until late august . I was astounded at how much undercoat i have brushed out in the 3 months . Warning ;This breed of cat are easily overheated because of their thick fur .I never seen a cat pant like a dog when overheated until Max got to warm one summer day .. But what a joy he is to have him own me .

Exotic Shorthairs are my absolutely favorite! They have the BEST personalities. When my girl needed bathing I would carry her into the shower with me. She did not love it but being able to have two hands on her at all times made it much easier and eventually she would relax.
