Carl was sitting in the audience of The Footy Show (Rugby League) and they had an empty few minutes to fill in, so asked anyone in the audience if they'd like to tell some jokes. That was how he was discovered. He never looked back. He's just so naturally funny. A great Aussie character :)

I have seen Carl perform live when he came to New Zealand. I laughed so hard I was crying, face was sore from smiling and stomach muscles hurt from laughing. He is brilliant. He’s funny when he talks about his family 😂 Glad you enjoyed him too. Doesn’t matter show many times I see the same routine I still laugh from the way he delivers it 👌🏼😝

He's actually really cool!, Had a beer with him one night at a local pub on the Gold Coast where he's from. He was just out with some friends for a drink and he's exactly as you see him on stage as he is generally. He's bloody funny!.

I once saw Jim Jeffries in a small intimate gig in brighton uk. About 20 years ago maybe more. Never have I seen someone dismantle a heckler in such skill. They had to be removed from the venue for their safety as the whole audience turned on the heckler, was just awesome. Never heard of this guy before. Had me in stitches.. nice one Joel.

As a lover of comedy, you should definitely check out one of Australia's finest comedians, Tim Minchin. He's incredibly funny and amazingly multi-talented. He's a self-taught virtuoso pianist and he wrote the Matilda musical, which was recently adapted into a movie. Truly an Aussie national treasure.
