The movie to me is a complete classic. Which proves how you can get comedy from being offensive. But the Ending was the greatest part.

@@SoloTravelerOffTheBeatenPath there are people who look very much like nazis did, but they're none of those people nowadays say they are. The most genius part about this movie is that they actually constructed Hitler's character based on what he himself believed, instead of what some people said of him. It's not coincidental that this scene shows Hitler as a politically correct guy, because he was always like that, and anyone who has read actual direct sources can easily see the parallels between the modern politically correct people, and the national socialists of the 1930's.

Absolutely in agreement, mate 🤣 This is a very underappreciated gem. I loved it upon first watching, and this particular bit rendered me unable to do anything but struggle to breathe through intense belly laughs for about 5 minutes straight. Not sure why it hit me so hard, but I will say that, even as a partially black guy, I was not offended at all. I mean, joke or not, I get way too much mileage out of making people say it, so as to normalize one simple fact: It. Is. Just. A. Word. If people are getting bent just cause of a made up word (yes, they're all made up, I know. Take your time, I'll wait.), then it shows just how small you really are. Not because someone else made you small, but because you allowed something so tiny as a string of random symbols, which meant absolutely nothing beyond a couple millennia ago, to make you feel small. People don't get offended because something is true or not about them, they get offended because of someone triggering their insecurities.

@@cousinzeke4888 He was popular then too. You have to remember, he didn't start with "Gas em", he started with "tax them, they're rich". The German people liked it, because of the preceding two decades. You have a war that decimated a generation, yet a significant portion of the population was exempt from conscription due to religious reason. The same group also didn't feel the depression that followed in the next decade. There were even riots. Thats why he became popular. Today, depending on the nation in question, his target would be Western religions (as its already being targeted, and he lamented that Germany was not a member of the religion of peace). His rhetoric about the wealthy would not be anything new, modern politicians say the same stuff as it is. He would actually be far more popular today because of his anti-capitalist rhetoric. Only after consolidating power, as he did then, would he move onto pogroms, as he did then.

I never learned about the word "Nigga" till I reached America when I was younger. So many people corrected me and there was two different meanings that I learned. "Friend, a comrade." and then "A black man."

Hitler actually was a huge vegetarian and germaphobe, so he probably would neither play with a dead dog nor play with its dead body. Like most famous people of history, he was really weird and had a bunch of super specific preferences, like he didn't like to eat meat and would scold others if they did so, really like animals, especially dogs, thought that women's makeup was ugly and prevented German women from wearing it, bathed a ridiculous amount and like Cowboy and Indian stories. Stalin's favorite movie genre was also Cowboys and Indians, and he would watch them in his private movie theatre. He also was really short and sociably awkward.

Imagine being a dog and finally dying in the worst way possible just for some man to grab your body and start playing with it while saying "Ni___" classic.
