You know, thank you for sharing that, from what I've learned about Hitler he just becomes more of an enigma to me in all regards. He persecuted Jews yet befriended them (as a homeless man in Bavaria and in 1936). He seems to always contradict the popular belief he was only evil yet also reinforces the idea he was only evil; everything he did seemed to be on the contrary to other things he did and considering Charlie Chaplin didn't like Hitler, it is crazy to think Hitler's favorite movie was the same thing that made fun of him.,

The apartment complex was built on top of the remains in 1987 after the Red Army started blowing it up in 1947. It was further destroyed in 1986 and 1987 when the East German Government decided to make use of the space in the very center of Berlin to create dearly needed apartments for East German families. After the end of the Berlin Wall just some years later the area was yet again redeveloped - now the Mall of Berlin is right behind that apartment block which survived the redevelopment of the area around the Potsdamer Platz.

As someone who has watched hours and hours of WWII docs, footage and the Nuremberg trials in it’s entirety.. I feel comfortable saying that if Hitler did magically appear, he would be angry at the loss of what he envisioned Germany to be, enough to isolate and become depressed. He would likely justify his actions until he then re-disappears or dies. This is what his life’s work was dedicated to and it’s all gone, so I definitely don’t foresee a change of heart all of the sudden. Most of those at the trials felt no remorse, it’s very likely the leader of the pack who orchestrated all the death and war would have even less remorse. That said, I do think he would be in awe over advancements in technology and Germany’s rebuilding. There’s lots of evidence that he was easily impressed with inventions/new tech.

@user-686hs-7711 күн бұрын
"Hated animal cruelty" is strong. I get it though, you read that other dudes comment and now want to try and be right yourself. Hitler was a vegetarian for health reasons, not ethical. The Nazis would divide animals into those deemed "valuable" and "luxurious" (lions, tigers) and those deemed "unworthy" (house cats). With the later being treated a *lot* worse. That doesnt scream an animal lover too me. The literal only thing anyone has of Hitler being this "animal lover" was when the Nazi party passed the Animal Cruelty Act. Other than that, all hesay. All words from the mouth of a man who convinced an entire nation that the world should be pure blooded Germans and every single Jewish individual alive should be eradicated. And hes fooled you with those words it would seem, even from beyond the grave. Hitler was very good at convincing people that HE was a good person. Weird, huh? Alright. I'll give y'all a detailed breakdown cause this video doesn't include some rather critical final moments of the film. The final scene starts with Hitler saying "Everything has a deeper meaning". He then says that the situation (meaning the political/social situation) is great for him "in Germany, Europe, the world." The car ride scene then is interchanged back and forth with a pretty big montage of actual footage from far-right/nationalist rallies, riots and even political speeches from a number of European countries like Germany, Austria, Sweden, Holland, the UK, France, etc. The themes of these montage clips are EXACTLY what you would expect from the far-right. Very populist, nationalistic, anti-immigrant, and with a particular focus on purity and national identity. The very last of these montage clips is from a rally in Germany where the crowd is chanting "We are the people". This chant continues until the screen fades to black but not before Hitler says the following (his final line of the movie): "I can work with this." If you know your history as to how Hitler came to power in Germany back in the 1920s and early 1930s, that's a VERY ominous final sentence from him and it insinuates that he intends to ride his new found fame as well as new and powerful waves of 21st century European right-ring nationalism, populism, fascism, and anti-immigrant ideology all the way back to power in Germany just like he did almost a century prior. We all know what happened after that.The deadliest war in the history of humanity. The film is satire, but serves as a warning as to how dangerous these ideologies are.

@faa14122 жыл бұрын
People who knew him wouldn't say he was scary. That's what's scarier. People who came across him said he was quite normal, nothing too intimidating about him. It's just those speeches he gave with passion and fire... all for show. Telling people what they want to hear. Also, the dude had bad gas. Sometimes after meals, he'd leave the table and drop fart bombs and could be heard screaming in the next room from horrible stomach cramps. I remember watching a video of when Hitler met with a Swedish official for some assistance. Hitler hated smoking and the guy sat there right in front of Hitler and smoked his cigarettes. He said he knew Hitler was in deep shyt and needed his help because he didn't say anything to the guy about his smoking. He just sat there lmaooo... Or how if he got anxious or nervous about things he'd bury his knuckles into a desk. The only thing that was scary about him was how he was able to convince people to go along with his agenda to kill people. It also didn't help that there was already an anti-semitism movement in parts of Europe. He had too many yes men around him. Had enough people around him told him those weren't good ideas, I definitely think he would have changed ALOT of things. But that's just my opinion.

Fun fact: The scene at 11:20 is actually based off the movie „Downfall“, where Hitler went on a rant in his bunker.

FYI: This film was actually filmed in public with public interactions just like Borat did in the US. This means must interactions weren`t actors playing but real reactions from real people. As in the scene where he meets the NPD (extreme far right party in Germany and weirdly close to NSDAP) leader, he really belittles him, makes fun of him and shows everyone the stupidity of their idea of races etc..
@BlazingOwnager3 жыл бұрын
