The final one! After 32 other Naked Gun movies we have finally managed to get to the end of the franchise! I gotta say, I liked this one almost as much as the first and definitely better than the second! So many laughs to be had and I am definitely sad to be ending this series! Thanks for watching! Have a great day :)

18:50 The Zuckers actually rented the hall where the Academy Awards are held and hired all the stage hands who really run the show and they invited everyone in Hollywood who ever worked with them or auditioned for them. The most expensive part was paying James Earl Jones enough money to say: "It looks like Phil Donahue... throwing-up into a tuba."

A few more things you missed..."The he he he cool" thing was what Beavis says on Beavis and Butthead. The gymnastics in the aisle during the Oscars is because the winner was world famous gymnast Mary Lou Retton (not an actor). She was a household name in the 80's. Pia Zadora was famous for being a go-to performer for every variety show in the 80's. Phil Donahue had a talk show for 20+ years, and had a big head of white hair like Leslie Nielson.

Another vote for checking out Police Squad, the TV series these movies are based on. It’s very short so won’t take long to get through.

Couple explanations you didn't get...The opening scene was an almost shot-for-shot parody of a legendary scene from the movie The Untouchables. Before being a double murderer, OJ Simpson was a famous football player, so he was going to spike the baby like a football after the pass. Frank asks for Spartacus (1960) because it's got lots of shirtless men, and has a famous, but subtle, homo-erotic scene.

The legendary scene from the movie The Untouchables is an homage to Russian Filmmaker, Sergei Eisenstein's 1925 silent film classic "Potemkin".

The Naked Gun franchise does not end until you've watched and reacted to the TV Series the movies are based on, "Police Squad!" --- the TV Vehicle developed for Leslie Neilson based on the success of the movie "Airplane!" The role of Muriel, the evil mother, was played by Kathleen Freeman, who had the iconic role of Frau Gertrude Linkmeyer, the sister of General Burkhalter in the TV Classic "Hogan's Heroes". Linkmeyer's husband Otto is presumed MIA and deceased. Burkhalter is always trying to fix her up with Colonel Klink, who wants nothing to do with her. Later in her life, Freeman provided the voice of Peggy Bundy's mom in "Married W/Children".

Also, the Odessa Steps sequence of the silent film Battleship Potemkin, which The Untouchables scene was paying homage to. That's why a few of the scenes (like the mom yelling "my baby!") are silent except for the score.

As much of a gong show as the movie's Oscar ceremony was, no one from the audience charged the stage and slapped the host, because that would've been too absurd even for the Zuckers.

Back in the day; when I was a kid, many, many years ago. Mattel made the original 12" G.I. Joe dolls. Like the Barbie line; they had clothes and accessories, and some had what was called the Kung-Fu Grip. That's what that joke was all about

Ira Newborn is a man. "Ira" (pronounced Eye-Ra, not Ear-Ra) is a man's name. I've never seen it as a woman's name. The most famous Ira is arguably Ira Gershwin, the brother and writing partner of legendary songwriter George Gershwin.
