Undertale is a game made by Toby Fox which is similar to Deltarune which is also made by TobyFox. Currently we are waiting for Deltarune Chapter 3 but Chapter 2 is super cool as well as it has Spamton and Spamton NEO so we can be a BIG SHOT with W.D Gaster and Dr. Gaster with Chara. This video we see characters like Sans Papyrus Toriel Undyne and Alphys but we don't see much of Kris Susie Ralsei or Noelle or Queen but we do see Spamton. This isn't the Deltarune Snowgrave route though so it's not a weird route sadly and it's not Undertale Genocide with Chara and Flowey like with Kris and Noelle and Berdly. These are Undertale memes that are hilarious and funny. I also did not use the Deltarune OST or the Undertale Soundtrack in this video so don't expect Megalovania to appear or BIG SHOT.

To be fair, I think people forget about the opening because there is a book in the Librarby that implies humans can't do magic, though the wording is a bit loose. "While monsters are mostly made of magic, human beings are mostly made of water. Humans, with their physical forms, are far stronger than us, but they will never know the joy of expressing themselves through magic. They'll never get a bullet-pattern birthday card..." I think what this means isn't that they *can't* do magic, because of the opening story, but rather that it isn't an innate part of their nature. It's probably like the difference between Sorcerers and Wizards in D&D.

My bet is similar, I think that Humans could use magic since there were monsters nearby. When the monsters were sealed away all the magic gradually started to fade from the above ground until it became unusable since there just wasn't any left up there.

Magic can be used for cooking, cleaning, transportation, self defense, party tricks, etc. It's not like a floppy disk or rotary phone where its use would gradually fade over time because newer and more efficient models come out. If at any point in history humans had magic it would still exist in some form or function no matter how much time passes. Again barring some kind of cataclysm.

It's said that you need a monster soul to leave the underground, but no matter what you do with Asgore, the soul shatters instead. Despite this, after beating Flowey you are clearly able to leave. And, most heinous of all, the True Pacifist route itself. Despite it being clearly stated both that the soul is the essence of one's self, and that Flowey is soulless, it claims he's still the same as Asriel. It's, uh, kind of a big plot hole to miss. Undertale has many strengths, but contrary to popular belief, the story is not one of its stronger suits.

​@@HumanoidDerpling I always took the Soul being ones essence and Flowey being Asriel regardless as having to do with the whole Monster funeral thing, that a monsters being is only _mostly_ contained in a soul, their personality and what makes them, them, but their memories are etched into every bit of their being, so the Asriel that appears before Frisk and the one that died along with Chara are effectively different beings, what you fight is a mere imitation and memory recreation of the fallen prince rather than the real one, Asriel Dreemur, God of Hyperdeath is through it all, truly just Flowey, a flower that grew in Asgore's garden and absorbed the memories of he King's son when introduced to Determination.

​​so the two examples you listed are, kinda bad. The neutral ending sees the 6 human souls freed from containment. Frisk obvious just uses them to cross the barrier, since a human soul has much more power than a boss monster soul it stands to reason 7 of them could cross the barrier if they went together, that's why the souls go missing after every neutral ending. As for the true pacifist ending.. the answer is quite simple. Flowey isn't actually completely soulless, just mostly soulless. He expresses a great deal of emotion (especially throughout geno) even fear and joy which, shouldn't even be possible if he was truly souless. It's also been shown in some supplemental media (specifically the alarm clock app which is canon) that after the true pacifist ending Flowey continues watching over his family as a guardian angel.

Well, I do have a possible explanation in regards to the barrier You need 7 human souls to break it Asgore has collected 6 The combined power of 1 human soul and 1 monster soul can cross it, right? 7 - 1 = 6 Then perhaps, once Omega Flowey was defeated, the souls may have attacked the barrier and left. The barrier? It was broken, but not in the way they tell you, but rather in a "we opened a gap, but hurry, it won't last long like that" way, the gap would only last a few minutes, long enough for a human next to the damaged barrier to escape the underground, but not long enough for monsters to do the same, as it would repair itself, forcing monsters to start over. While 6 souls can break the barrier, it's not powerful enough for its destruction to be permanent, and not enough for the ENTIRETY of Monsterkind to leave the underground. If you want to destroy the barrier permanently, you'd have to attack it with the power of 7 human souls. But that's hust a theory of mine

Because you can't level up so you can't gain any health or stats Having more armor in the Geno route wouldn't really do anything to unbalance the game, especially since it would only give you 2 extra armor options against Undyne and it doesn't really matter what armor you wear against Sans. If anything it'd just be a cute lil extra thing. Maybe Undyne would recognize Papyrus's scarf and have some flavor text about it and Sans would have flavor text for everybody.

The armor from killing or sparing bosses is genuinely cool. Here's a few ideas I came up with for this concept Undyne: Killing her gives you her spear which is powerful weapon but drops your defense, sparing her gives you her eye patch which increases your defense but also makes it impossible to run from combat since hero's never run from a battle Sans (P.s. to spare sans, you just have to go to the MTT restaurant with him) Sparing him or killing him gives you his jacket which makes you very frail and not able to take too much damage, but also gives you a dash ability which allows you to quickly move by doing a quick dodge which temporarily makes you intangible for the entirety of the dash. Muffet: Killing her gives you the web cloak which makes enemies attacks go slower, and Sparing her gives you the Spider Bow (as in clothing) Which gives you more gold after battles. Mettaton: Sparing him gives you MTT boots which can make enemies easier to spare due to how glamorous the boots make you look, and killing him gives you the NEO blaster, which deals great damage, but also makes you b very frail and not being able to tank as many hits as you usually could in genocide.

Ok, the whole "Humans can use magic" thing just made me come up with the wildest theory that might explain multiple plot points. What if the 7 magicians that trapped the monsters underground were offspring of both a human and a monster? Considering this war apparently happened thousands of years ago iirc, if the magicians were descended from both races, it'd make sense that after thousands of years, most traces of monster magic would disappear from any descendent. This might also explain why the humans decided to trap the monsters underground instead of simply outright just killing them all. The magicians or other humans with a monster parent might've pleaded for this outcome so their monster parent could be spared. I would explain why the barrier was made one way. It's possible that the magicians purposefully made it that way in secret so that one day, monsterkind would be free once more when humans, hopefully, were more accepting of tgem. If you somehow got through my rambling, thank you. There's probably a bunch of details that conflict with this but eh.

My perspective in human magic is this: Humans can use magic but it is either something you have to be born with an innate gift for magic or is something you have to study and practice years upon years on end while monsters can use magic with ease, the mightyest human wizards (like the ones whocreated the barrier) are about as powerful as a monster with a human soul. In the present time human magic seems to be something that was forgotten.

4:57 I'd add to the canon, the existence of an kind elderly couple living on the side of the mountain in a small cottage unlike the giant metropolis the mountain overlooks, not believing the tales of monsters, this would have no impact to the story or lore at all, just a cute little bit of info. I'd however remove sans oozing red, skeletons don't bleed unless they're like extremely fresh, monsters don't bleed due to numerous sources, and it annoys me when people jump and dance around to find loopholes to claim he's bleeding, either that or I'd take my addition to have sans canonically wear a condement vest revealing this in the pacifist route, perhaps he keeps a bottle of each incase of an emergency hotdog situation.

I feel like people forget about the fact that Papyrus can only deal 3 damage. It implies that either skeletons ignore defence or skeletons can only deal a set amount of damage regardless of their attack. If the ladder is true, Dust!Sans and his variants still deal one damage every frame meaning that even a level 20 Sans would not be able to kill Undyne.
