Britney appeared in the 1999 with her Baby One More Time debut, but yes, kids nowdays do listen to Britney, which only proves how amazing she is tbh. 15 years in the industry and still selling very well and loved by the listeners. Hilary and Britney pretty much belong to the same era. The only difference is that Britney stuck to her music making job and Hilary decided to take a break. I love them both very much, but it looks like Hilary has no chance to properly come back :( she didnt promote the album at all (she didnt even release it yet? ) she's being a bit lazy :(

Because sex sells and if you don't want to be half naked on stage as a woman, they won't support her with money and publicity. The music industry is still female unfriendly. In the beginning they may let you go your own way and your own music but slowly and surely they push you in one direction. funny thing is, I didn't know she sang. She has a great voice, and that's coming from a pretty picky music listener. Whoever she has on production for this needs a freaking medal because they blended a typical pop song with a little bit of a country twang.
