I would argue that the sound a zealot makes who is sure that they are acting 100% within the will of their God(s) is many times more terrifying. I was a CA officer in the army and I've heard it in Afghanistan and Iraq. I also live in the South in the US and I have heard it from Christians when they are casting aspersions on people they deem as sinners who ought to be removed or at least suppressed in society.

God cannot be evaluated by any human propositions. God cannot be wise or not wise, merciful or cruel, etc., as we aren't able to clearly conceive the concept of god, as his nature remains abstract to us. We must admit that the human comprehension is extremely limited no matter how we try to develop it either through religion, philosophy or other means. Either you believe with no logical application or otherwise. But this "otherwise" is still rooted in belief.
