Hildegard von Bingen's music, and this singing, is great - but once again, in an obsession that to my ear, goes back to the horrors of 'Deep Forest', this music isn't improved by the lazy addition of beats. It waters it down, degrades it to being some kind of chillout thing, and makes it more saccharin. I suppose the hegemony of that metronomic 4/4 does make it easier for people who can't cope with a sustained period of time being without them though.
