That Shamus guy was definitely the funniest thing i've heard on your show, laughed till it started to hurt. I really imagined how he looks, with his gestures and all that, and that voice was so funny! Thanks guys for the laugh!

@@thezerowulf507 no i mean why are some named for geographical locations like hill and others for something like frost or fire. you would think all would be named after different kinds of mts in reference to them being big or all would be named for the element.
@Aquafrostsheke
@Aquafrostsheke 3 жыл бұрын
Frost and fire giants are more elemental. They have more to them than simply where they live. I guess hill giants could be called fat giants but that’s lame. Also fire giants live in the the elemental plane of fire so in a way that is an environmental description as well. As for storm giants they can live deep in the sea or in the clouds. And they are prone to lightning Magicks so it just makes more sense to call them storm giants.

I have liked and commented! I continue to serve the hungry dungeoncast! Greetings milords, well...the slime invasion has ended. We finally managed to slay them all, the death toll is high, and the ecosystems of our local forests were damaged by the ravenous slimes eating everything in sight. Its not beyond repair though, we'll just have to ration our food and be very careful not to over hunt in the coming years. I suppose our now decreased population makes that a little easier... Hill giants hmm, well I know I found a few hill giant corpses out in the woods earlier. They must have starved from the lack of food due to the slime outbreak. Until next week milords. How did an episode about such a simple one dimensional monster lead to so many jokes and a character as great as small seamus? Seriously will, I don't care that he died, you need to bring seamus back as like a cameo in SQS or something, he's to perfect. Not gonna lie, I can see brian becoming a giant, the jolly kind of giant, not a people eating giant. Those skinny hill giants are pretty much the exact opposite of me. They gets stronger after being starved, where if I don't eat for to many hours my limbs just start feeling weak and they get a little shaky. Much less intimidating. Stay safe dudes, have a good day.

I was just contemplating the same thought - but in another way, since we are talking Giants.. Just like komodo dragons, I think that for Giants who eat spoiled/rotten food, their bite attack should add disease or poison to their victims on a failed saving throw. I just added this to my homebrew/house rules, actually. :) What do you guys think?

Here is the story of soap box Johnny. (PART 1) He was the first born of three siblings of his Father, Small Angry Shamus. One day whilst Soap Box Johnny was in the backyard with his siblings and mum. His da's voice is heard screaming loudly followed by small tremours of the ground. Mum knew what was happening and escorted herself and the children from the backyard and into the nearby forest. Johnny looks back and sees a Hill Giant approach the farmstead, grabs Small Angry Shamus, bringing Shamus to its large mouth and chomps down. Biting Shamus in half. After seeing his father die in such a horrifying fate.. He and his mum and siblings ran off into the forests.. Where he and his family get attacked by goblins, the siblings and Johnny runs away.. While mum sacrifices herself for her children. The siblings spent days in the woods, eating berries and hiding from animals.. Only to be discovered by a group of adventurers who rescue the children, takimg the children to a nearby town and leave the children in the care of a shop keeper that the party knew and trusted. A fat man with a big beard, human. Now with an adopted father.. Shamus was put to work. Standing upon a box of soap. He would call out to travelers and passerbyers. Attempting to sell soap for his adopted father.. (This next part is dark. Please beware) As Shamus grew up with his siblings. The adopted fathers business began to flourish and so did his greed and lust.. Maybe he was abusive in several ways to Shamus and his siblings.. Getting himself drunk and if Shamus had failed to bring in a tidy sum, Shamus wouls get beaten. In order to prevent his siblings to get hurt. Shamus would egg on the father and demand that a hammer would be used, to tire out his father quicker. Maybe his father would be.. forceful and lustful. For all we know, Shamus could have had younger sisters. Aftef 10 years of abuse, now 22 years old. Shamus had saved enough money by pocketing profits from his position. He would sneak out with his siblings and run away, purchase travel on a ship and start again anew. During the escape. Maybe guards of the father recognize the siblings attempting to run away, maybe the father realizes they ran away and ordered them tl be returned.. And trsgically, one sibling was slain.. Bitter with anger, Shamus swears vegence and vows to kill his father.. And the two escape (END OF PART 1)

(PART TWO OF THE TALE OF SOAP BOX JOHNNY) As Shamus and his sibling traveled aboard "The Righteous Indignation" Shamus and his sibling realize they are on board a vessel with magic users. These magic users practice spells, casting spells and sending any projecticles into the sea. Enthralled by this, Shamus inquires as how this is possible to the Head Wizard. A black robed being who kept their head shrouded within a black mask and covered with a hood. The being would with a simple jesture of their covered right hand.. And the two walk down below. Where the two sit down on a makeshift table. And suddenly.. A Crystal Ball is placed on the table by another black robed being.. Who seemingly appears from the darkness of the rooms corners. The only light source being from the steps that travel into the dark insides of the vessel. As the first initial being sits down at the far edge of the table and rests their gloved hand on the crystal ball.. And with a gesture, images of.. Shamus. As a child begins to play in the crystal ball. Shamus, mezmorized by this.. Stares into the ball.. watching as he would see his life unfold, to the point of his fathers demise.. To his mothers sacrifice.. To- The pain of memory is almost too much, Shamus struggling to close his eyes and looks away. Unable to peel himself away from the crystal ball.. Sees himself. As if he was looking at himself.. The imagery in the ball dis-apates into a black mist.. Then an image of a skeletal head.. Of horryfing visage.. A towering behemouth of power and destruction.. With legions and legions of skeletons of all manner of beings.. Shamus.. Grabbing hold of his head with his hands, yanks his head backwards.. Causing himself to fall backwards onto the floor. Shamus would look up to the cieling.. And then sit up.. He comes to his feet and sees he is in an empty room. He looks around and finds nothing.. Shamus turns around, seeing the steps and walks out.. Then exits onto the deck of the ship. Where his sibling is, watching the passing sea underneath from the safety of the railing of the ship. Shamus.. Shrugging and shaking his head. He walks forward and hugs his sibling, holding them tightly.. The two exchange a conversation of how Shamus just walked off and went below deck, how there was no robed figures or anyone like that aboard. That it was a fever dream or him being unable to sleep well due to being on a boat in the sea.. Shrugging it off.. Shamus went about his business on the boat.. Weeks pass until the boat finally makes port at a large stone walled port city. (END OF PART 2)
