My husband has been on SS disability due to his back for more then 10 years. After long debate he agreed to sign up for Van disability. He is drawing for50 for upper and lower back and tendinitis for his hearing. He now has to use 02 and walker due to being unstable on his legs. He is also showing signs of early dementia and is being treated for alcoholism and addiction to pain meds for his back. He has not file anything for his legs and hip area. I'm at a loss of how to get total disability for him and he does not understand the process .

My Father Gene Allen Hanson is deaf from an explosion that happened when he was in the U.S. Army. He is 90 years old and has bone cancer. We are going to the Kansas City VA Medical Center on Monday September 25, 2023 for his wheelchair evaluation. I am certain that he needs a scooter or some type of mobility assistance because he never gets out unless we are going to the doctor, and I want his quality of life to be better. He loves to read and is still very sharp. We live in an apartment home that has a rooftop lounge and it is the best view of Kansas City. I want him to be able to sit up there and read. He deserves that. Can you assist me in making this happen for him? His records were destroyed in th e1973 fire in St. Louis. I did locate his DD214 myself and it had scorch marks on it, but I got and his dog tags. My fear is that after all of the red tape,he will be gone. Thank you in advance. Respectfully- Jennifer J. Hanson

You're his best advocate, buddy. Ain't nobody gonna care AS MUCH AS YOU, nor will the record of evidence reflect as much. If he's 90 and has bone cancer, you're kinda under pressure to make sure his survivors have something to remember him by, am I right? Glad the fella has family who cares enough to help him collect his benefits.......after all that time. Lord knows, he's been suffering. Amen

Hi Carol. I has the same issue with my migraine exam. I told them in 2019 that I have prostrating attacks, and I'm still arguing because it wasn't until April of this year that it was granted. And I have fought this ever since. I give up! They are not gonna get it right.

Thank you for all the insight. Can we ask for a copy of the CMP exam once completed and if so, are the examiners required to give us a copy? I have had multiple exams where I've told the examiners about my problems and symptoms and then they change what I've said or never put it down.

Is a PHQ-9 enough for diagnosis to file a claim for depression?

how're your hormone levels? you had them tested? ever looked for a micro tumor on the anterior side of your pituitary gland? perhaps, if commo problems exist, asking that VA doc for a functional MRI to rule out problems with the amygdala....reason i say all this stuff is this: veterans treated for depression by the VA tend to wind up with cerebral degeneration and dementia. the rate of coincidence is like......sick. but anyway, the reasons they say veterans are given FTD by VA treatments is partly attributed to what they call "pre-morbid cognitive performance". VA docs aren't allowed to discriminate against us for a whole bunch of reasons (by law), but being ignorant and trusting ain't among 'em, so there really is a burden on us to resist pressure to take brain-damaging drugs. Knowing is half the battle.

15:40 should I poke the bear?? I was granted 100%P/T , score 90 over a year ago. I’m sc 40% back, left leg 40% radiculopathy, right leg 40% radiculopathy/sciatica both secondary to back, 20% neck,20% shoulder, 10% right leg vericose vein, 10% left leg vericose vein, . I live alone in a tri-level home. I have been experiencing falls , fires and difficulty with my ADLs because of chronic pain and maintaining balance up and down stairs. My doctor signed me up for HISA. I’m eligible for any assistance in the home? Could I be considered for loss of use of legs?

I'm 55yrs old. I've filed for my back pain since 2012, and was denied so I've tried again couple yrs later and was denied again. This yr. I was granted a non service pension because I wasn't working since then because of the pact act. Can I get back pay since my intent to file 2012?

I filed a claim for Parkinson's it was denied as non service connected. When I initially applied every base I had been on was listed as having PFAS. Then a couple months later they were removed from the list of affective bases. They also removed Parkinson's Desease from the list of presumptive conditions. I was also exposed to TCE during my time in service. I was discharged in 1995 and wasn't diagnosed until 2011 officially. I have tinnitus which was first noticed by me at my first duty assignment. The VSO filed for all my Parkinson’s related as well as for tinnitus. All were declined as bon service contected. Should a file an appeal for higher level review?🎉

Did you have a Nexus Letter to connect the ailments ti service?
@danielsterwald7122 Жыл бұрын
@mmmotives7452 No I wasn't aware of Nexus letter at the time. The VSO asked for my last year medical records and a list of my documented ailments. I learned a lot about what he should have done after he already filed.

Parkinsonianism is linked to fluoridation, bro. PFAS is too specific and too easy to kite. there's a 2006 report to congress linking a whole bunch of stuff we all got to fluoridated water we all drank on base
