SGA is Substantial Gainful Activity. The acronym does match up. LOL The word "activity" opens you up to different interpretations of things you might engage in other than "employment". Great videos ladies... thank you!

even though you make less than sga of $1310 for non blind per month in a part time job, how can that be a trigger when the SSA "law" says you can work so long that it is less than $1310 per month? even if there is a review, the SSA "law" says you can work up to that amount without losing benefits, right?

This is what perplexes me too. I get mixed answers. I have been fearful of taking a pt job and staying under the SGA because I think I will lose my benefits. I shouldn’t have to worry about this.

I just don’t get why a person my age, 58, should have to worry about working pt and staying under the SGA . It shouldn’t trigger a review but apparently it’s a concern. Who wants to struggle soooo hard to get SSDI, only to be booted off because they need some xtra money that is SUPPOSEDLY allowed under their guidelines . This is harmful to the American worker.

People should not struggle to live that is just not humanitarian especially if they are sick

Other triggers?

It's a great suggestion to expand on this topic and talk about other triggers. I will pass this information to our marketing team. Thank you for watching!
