I have watched every possible video there is on this system to learn as much as I can. I now carry two sets of cables and a new gearbox and motor along with all the tools needed to "hopefully" fix it myself if something breaks. 👍

Did they send a drip catch pan with the new gear box, my dealer installed them under my gear boxes because they leak onto the roof fabric and will cause it to bubble.

I have a four slide-out 2013 MONTANA and have never had a gearbox leak. I have replaced a gearbox in the kitchen and a motor on the main slide no fun. I also added rollers to kitchen slide.

What did you do to keep the slide out from tipping outward. Once the gear chain is released the room is free to move.

You caught me. I didn’t show it, but I put a Jack under the room outside to level it up while I was working on it.

Does the slide HAVE to be extended all the way out? I can get my skinny ass up on top of the slide I'm having an issue with to loosen/remove the chains without trying to extend the slide, but will it be problematic if I complete the motor/gearbox swap with the slide in?

I have a 2018 Heartland Torque with Bal Accu-slide. The living room will not slide-out but it works going in. The motor runs but the gear doesn't turn going out. How can I manually get the slide-out to get to the gear box and motor?

Have 1 or 2 friends push on room while someone else pushes the button. It will probably go out.

Just curious with so many things which can go wrong as cables, gear boxes, motor and adjustment , is this Bal Accu slide any good ? Or better to stay out of RV's which use those slides ? I know most of the RV slide systems have a some problems, but this system looks complicated to start with. It is even possible to get slide back in, if one of the cable break ??
