11.300RPM SLK340 Judd V8 || ONBOARD F1 Old-School SOUND

Current Recordist at Rampa da Falperra, Reto Meisel brought his mighty 630Hp/11.300Rpm SLK340 Judd V8 to HillClimb Masters 2021 in Portugal to fight for Top Honours among Touring Cars, missing in the end for pretty much the narrowest of margins.
Absolutely adored and idolized by the fans at Falperra, not much can compete with the soundtrack provided by the Judd DB Engine, and at almost a 1Hp/1Kg ratio not much can compete with it on sheer pace either. Sporting a whole new Livery and being only the 2nd race both Mr. Meisel and the SLK did since the big stoppage imposed by what we all know, it went on to miss the overall win among Touring Cars for an almost unbelievable 0,002 seconds. Guess 2022 will mark its revenge...

Wow, that structural rigidity is insane. I love how that and the low ride height are used to force the wheels to stay on the ground through some of the turns to make up for road unevenness. That's absolutely incredible to watch. Humans really have taken engineering to incredible new levels.

The sound aside, this car doesn't look intimidatingly fast like those crazy turbo cars but it seems so perfectly composed in every movement and so friendly to drive. And then you see that it's almost 4 seconds quicker than the similarly classes Alfa 4C. Absolute dream this machine, I genuinely hope we get to see these in years to come when EVs eventually take over

It would probably need a huge HP boost to be competitive at Pike's Peak. Time Attack Pikes Peak cars are generally 1200+ HP.
