@Giulian WA Ofcourse it is. The R5 Turbo Maxi is only around 350 bhp, and the current crop of WRC is limited to 380 bhp. And this is way to fast for the WRC tracks, so running these monsters are out of the question. Group B's demise in the 80s, made sure of that.

Bugatti...Peugeot 205 turbo 16...208 turbo 16(pikes pick)...104 ZS and ZS2...Talbot Samba rally...etc!!! We like fwd tight roads and corners...when you prefer rwd large and straight roads...different conception which lead European market to 4 cylinder which is enough for what we do and USA to V8's! To be honest most European drivers do not understand dragrace and nascar...too short and straight for the first one and too boring for the second... My favourite is rally and drifting...more entertaining to me! Have a lifted one and stay safe!

@@arnaudlf2486 non ce sont bien des voitures officielles de Rallycross, bloc moteur 4 cylindre souvent issu de la série mais complètement remanier, ainsi que l'existence de moteur custom (entre autre réalisé par pipo moteur). Je vous conseille de regarder des courses de Rallycross, vous seriez agréablement surpris par l'ambiance autour de ce sport auto. 😉

Verry nice and balanced Car, reminds me a lot of the old Audi S1 Quatro, great to see the whole body and suspension working again, not like on 99% of todays cars wich are looking like as if they wouldnd have any suspension at all, just planted to the street... This Car really looks like an Adventure, i felt it, watching you pressing your nose hard into the tarmac and pulling it back out to accelerate through and out of the corners.. who is driving this car ? Fun fact, The car was designed by ProDrive and is currently run by GCK. It still runs in the WRX championship ^^. The brakes of the car (If i'm not mistaken) are not behind the wheels but somewhere in the car :D

Less un-sprung weight. By there being no brake caliper on the wheel it allows the suspension to cycle much faster. Think back to physics where F = ma, the spring in the suspension is applying a force, and because the mass will be less without the brake, the acceleration will be greater. So when a bump in the road is hit, the wheel will return to the ground faster, and the less time the wheel is not contacting the ground, the more traction it can make.

Interesting braking system to make the car slide when you pull the handbrake for a rally/ rallycross car. The Hoonicorn Mustang comes into my mind since the handbrake in the Mustang does the same to create those crazy burnouts. Hardly any understeer from the car given the suspension is tuned more for oversteer setup to go rallycross. 3:01 thats a badass slide there and he didnt need to pull the handbrake.

Common mod is to force the center clutch to release once you pull the handbrake so you wont kill the engine as the rear wheels have locked up. The second system is what is in the Hoonicorn and this Renault Megane.
