Paul De Jong was rebutted by Russel Kelly (PHD) a long time ago www.tithingdeb...
In this video a Hillsong preacher Paul de Jong Exposed robs a poor single mother by conning her into giving ten percent of her income even though she doesn't have enough food to feeds her own kids. Hillsong Church has millions of dollars and yet they teach lies about giving and tithing and tell people to give even if they are poor. This is a shocking truth about Hillsong. Malachi 3:10 is a rebuke to the priests and Levites for withholding the tithe from the Fatherless, the widow and the stranger. It is true that Hillsong gives money occasionally to the poor but its a fraction of the millions of dollars they receive and even casinos pay out once in a while. False teachers like Paul de Jong Exposed a rampant in the world today and the church needs to start exposing them and calling out the wolves in sheep's clothing. They need to be named and shamed. The Bible says that Christians need to give to the poor not take money from the poor. You see other false teachers like Todd White, Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer, Jentezen Franklin, Paul de Jong Exposed and many of false teachers preaching these lies in the church. Woe to these fat shepherds who deceive and rob people of their money. God's judgement is coming and these false teachers will be judged. Malachi 3:10 is not an instruction to Christians because it is addressed to Israelites living under the Old Covenant. Tithing is not part o the New Covenant. These "pastor" need to repent of their false teaching. False teachers exposed in this video.

My son was at a Hillsong church in Queensland recently and they must have had that livestreamed to the church because my son said he was furious at hearing that said about that poor woman. The next day he sent a scathing email to the pastor about it by quoting scripture, e.g. "robbing widows..." called them Pharisees and of course he never went back to the church.

Our pastor who passed away last week gained an inheritance from a family member passing. He used part of it to buy a local widow a house, he paid for some of the needs of various church members, and used the rest to take care of some of the needs of the physical church property. Easy to spot the difference between a faithful man of God, and a wolf.

I always ran from churches the second they would start begging for 10% of my income. Some churches do this a few times a year as a reminder (when the money coffers get low), other churches start off their services asking for 10% every week. The church I'm a member of now takes up what they call an offering - and you're free to give whatever you feel lead to give. I know people who do not have any additional money to give, so they volunteer their time to help around the church. But churches that demand you give 10% of your income OR ELSE God won't bless you is not Biblical or doctrinally sound at all. They just want your money so they can purchase another fog machine or another vacation home.

@@tashlee5391Life Church as it is now called, is Hillsong Affiliated, Brian Houston and Paul are life long friends, This video is accurate. I know, I attended and served in this church for around 5 years in the earlier days. Through serving I have had some interaction with Paul as he would make sure to thank those who served at the church cafe and conferences. He was always charming , gracious. and sincere. But sincerity isn't enough when you profess to proclaim the Word of God and take on the role of pastoring and shepherding. God holds those who teach the Scriptures to a very high account. A false teacher is one who consistently takes from the Bible ( the infallible Word of God ) what he wants it to say and twists the Scripture to fit his world view, and essentially lies about what God is saying and what God requires from us, A false teacher misinterprets the Word of God and therefore misleads those he is teaching. A false teacher does not teach the Full council of God as Scripture requires, but takes isolated verses and preaches from those verses to suit the narrative that he feels good about and that he wants other people to feel good about, ( or as in the tithing lie, guilted about ) or to gain popularity. or to gain wealth and sometimes all three of those things.. So Paul preaches a gospel that uses verses out of the Bible, but is not the actual Gospel message because the narrative is either out of context such as the tithing sermons, or a story that seems viable next to the texts he uses but is actually a feel good motivational speech that has little or nothing to do with the actual narrative he is basing his sermons on. For years I listened to preachers such as Paul, interpreted the Bible as I read it through their sermons. For years some things either disturbed or puzzled me. One day God lead me to listen to someone take a sermon like Paul preached here , and walk us through the sermon against what the Bible actually said. It change my understanding, changed my perspective, changed my whole life. Paul, gracious and sincere as he may be, consistently preaches a false narrative, therefore consistently teaches falsely, therefore is a false teacher. Harsh and judgmental as that sounds, Jesus warns us about them. We need to take His warning seriously. The book of Jude tells about them and how to recognise one. The tithing sermon always given by Paul and Brian Houston and thousands of other prosperity gospel preachers is a huge lie that keeps people in financial and spiritual guilt and bondage and does untold harm to millions. Unfortunately many of those millions of people don't recognise the bondage they are under daily. I was once one of those millions. If you are one of those, I hope you will be a 'Berean' and study your way out from under the personalities and the false teachings they promote.

Here's the thing: it depends on our heart attitude. What about the widow who gives her 'two mites'? What about the prophet who tells the widow to use the last of her oil & flour to make HIM something to eat first (when she says she was going to eat her last meal & die)? I used to think 'what an audacity to ask such a thing!' BUT...how blessed was she in the end, after obeying the prophet? Oil & more oil! What if she'd refused him? Well, she'd have had her last meal & known no better. God is happy for us to test Him in this...with the right attitude...not arrogant, nor demanding. I've found just not expecting anything in return, but doing things just because we love Him & want to bring a smile to His face...'when a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies be at peace with him.' This has been my honest experience with the Lord. I just simply love Him because He has made Himself so loveable to me! And really, HE taught me HOW to love Him, with innocence. God uses so many different ways to get our attention, & only HE knows where our hearts are at. I don't think Paul de Jong was asking this 'poor' Mum to give her tithe to HIS church...perhaps WE ought to ask God, exactly where we ought to 'give' to HIS work, for the expansion HIS Kingdom, down here on earth. We are called to give, & to be generous spirited, no? I wonder does it mean give of time? Effort? Patience? Love? What? I find it so interesting (even in myself) how funny we get, when it comes to letting go of some of our money. Granted that 10% deducted from an income of $2000 a week, leaves a lot more to live on, than 10% out of an income of $340/week. Still, I've seen miracles of 'provision', unexpectedly come my way, that have extended my $340 beyond what I could have anticipated. All I really wanted was to be ABLE to manage on what I had! Not many people know how to forego the things they WANT, but don't need. For some, that may mean buying a coffee. For others it means buying another car or house! What do we do, in the privacy of our hearts, for others, that costs US something? Didn't Jesus say what we do for the least, we do for Him? It's not like HE needs anything...after all, doesnt He own the cattle on a thousand hills? What can we give Him? As christians we all have an annointing. That's so we can do something for others, it achieves nothing kept for ourselves...the Bible teaches us that He is a harsh 'businessman' reaping where He hasn't sown. Not wanting the 'talents' buried...wanting a 'return' on what He gives. What shall we give?

Tithing is about obedience...in all realms of life...its the heart ...can be time...but is financially relevant to equipping the church to be the hands and feet for those in need...I agree if you are comming from a prosperity gospel lens...lekker man God bless 🙌

I was once trying to buy a new 18 wheeler and I hadn’t given to the church as I usually did and I shared with someone my story about how I was short about $ 2000 and they asked me if I had paid my tithes and I said well no I was saving to get this truck and they said tithe and you will get the truck so I did and now I was way shorter on the down payment that day but 1 week later I was in the bank signing the papers to my new truck with all the money I needed Now I’m not saying this man is right or wrong but I know God is faithful

The right thing to do would have to go to the market or their food bank if they have one and give her a hand up not a hand out and a church of that size should have the resources to train her for or assist her in finding a job that she can do............not to take

I did like the video👍! Needed explained. So the spirit that spoke to the man was absolutely not the Holy Spirit, it was a spirit alright but not God's. That presents a bigger problem and points to a bigger issue and that is the massive amount of false teaching concerning tithes and offerings, the many false teachers, the unbiblical churches, the misleading of God's Children who want to do good and right. Reading the Words of Jesus I am generous and giving to the poor and some ministries who also follow Jesus doing the same thing, but not the church.

I used to go to Hillsong. They do have millions of dollars in their bank account and quite transparent about their finances and spendings. Monies are mostly kept within themselves, and some to the outreaches. As the passage in Malachi mentioned, they need to start giving to the widows and the fatherless. If they don't, THAT's how they're robbing God.

I think you sir are also missing the entire point of a tithe, the money isn't for the church but it's to honour the same God that gave it to you. To show that you are an obedient Stuart and are not afraid to give back what God has given to you. In fact i actually don't see the point of your videos, the people of the world are mocking the church and you are just helping them. Did you stop and think of all the people that have found jesus through all the pastors you are mentioning. You are just scattering sheep man

Think Biblically, you have been given quite a lot of flack for saying Paul is a Hillsong Pastor. What people don't seem to understand is that Hillsong wasn't always called Hillsong, it was formally called Hills Christian Life Center. Hillsong was the name for their music arm. Under the name Christian Life Centre churches sere planted out of there internationally, eg London Christian Life Center.. Auckland Christian Life Center was one such church. However while other churches like the London plant eventually became called Hillsong London, taking on the nane Hillsong whatever city they sere planted in, Christian Life Center Auckland did not do that, instead they changed their name to Life and now are known as Life NZ. So though they have not done name wise what other church plants out of there have done Life NZ is historically out of Hills Christian Life Center, the two pastors being tight and life long friends, they minister together, teach the same stuff, have the same church culture, and Life NZ is very closely affiliated with Hillsong even if there is a disconnect from the name and independence from Hillsong

I can see how my tithing is put to good use. I wouldn't steward my money for God's glory so I trust how my church stewards that money. I can never out give God but He sure enjoys watching his children living generously no matter what you have to give. He has blessed me beyond measure, tithing is only one of many ways I can support the mission and also thank God for all that he has done. Glory be to God, we love you Jesus!!!

Book of Acts is the beginning of the church and the people would lay the money at the feet of the apostles who would than give the money to the poor, needy and widows. That's what doesn't happen today.
@popjaw1andOnly
@popjaw1andOnly 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, but in all reality, currently the apostles are in heaven. Also, that was a descriptive text, not a prescriptive text. Huge difference. We are expected to be as generous as we can be and give support to the poor, for sure, but we're not required to "sell all we have" and give every penny to them. Our trust and love should be in God, not mammon. Jesus quoted that to *one man,* who had his heart invested in his earthly treasure, which was a violation of the 1st commandment. If we *are* required to do such, then Paul should have demanded that slave owners in the church should sell them off as well, and give that money to the pastor. He wrote no such thing. He instructed masters to treat their slaves well, remembering that their Master in heaven, Jesus, treats them well, and shows no partiality nor distinction. We're given clarification as the church of how to give offerings in 2 Corinthians 9 : 6-15, so let's stick to that prescriptive text, shall we?

I know this isn’t in reference to money but wasn’t the poor required to give too? Rather it be a quail , dove, etc.. ? What was that giving for? Didn’t the poor , windows, etc.. have to give also each year for their sacrifice to God? So then God would desire the priests to give “ food” back to the poor, widows, etc..?
