We cannot always tell if a number is a prime number but we can tell if it definitely isn't. If it is an even number greater than 2 or it has more than one digit and ends in a 5 then it isn't a prime number. If you are being told to go against God's word then it cannot be God speaking.

Your understanding of Collosians 2:16-17 is backward. You're looking at at from the perspective of a believer being judged by a believer for not keeping the sabbath days, festivals, etc., but He's speaking with regards to those who now believe being judge by unbelievers because they, the new believers, are now obey God's sabbath days. He's not speaking in regards being judged by believers for not keeping the sabbath days. Furthermore, he's not justifying believers for not keeping the sabbath days, he's encouraging the new gentile believers to not listen to the unbelieving people's judgements against them due to them now keeping God's sabbath days. You should learn to keep all of scripture in its context historical, grammatical, and ethnic context. None of scripture is in conflict with itself. Nowhere in scripture will you see God saying something, only to say the opposite later. God doesn't change, He is holy, and we are to be HIS wholly holy people set apart in accordance with HIS ways, HIS instructions/Torah. The reason he stresses these things are only a shadow of things to come is the same reason why it's so important for us to learn and obey GOD'S Torah, because they are a shadow OF THE THINGS TO COME.
