when new 4680 battery coming next year?
@rainyoctober46832 жыл бұрын
Interesting strategy. Instead of increasing current 22 volt battery capacity which is max 8.0 amps they introduced a whole new tools lineup which only works with new battery. Weird how they keep mentioning that batteries can be used in all new tools as if it’s some kind of revolutionary new idea.
@crashlandon2202 жыл бұрын
Maybe not revolutionary per se but they are doing away with their current 36v platform as they claim that the new 22V will outperform it by a large margin. Makita, Dewalt and Milwaukee have all come out with alternate batteries for higher demand applications. (Makita 40V, Dewalt Flexvolt, Milwaukee MX Fuel) Their 18V lineups weren’t up to snuff. What is unique is Hilti is claiming same/better performance with their 22V line up with no need to go to a higher voltage battery.
@ivannedkov2 жыл бұрын
@@crashlandon220 correction. The big boys like the huge demo hammer are using two batteries to double the voltage, Upping the voltage gives you higher performance and therefore draws little less power. Downside is that's two 12amp batteries adding 3,7kg to the total weight.
@loochan3252 жыл бұрын
Current old 22V Hilti ( 24 max) is good for more then 80 Amps, up to 88A, and with 2 battery 44V x 80-88A = 3520-3872W. The new platform add 12Ah batery for 120-132A.
@janepatterson58332 жыл бұрын
@@ivannedkov I was part of the first Hilti Account Managers to see and demo these tools. The TE2000 Breaker is under 50lbs with both batteries and the chisel, not to mention the best vibration reduction I've seen to date. Made it easier for all 5'3" of me to handle. The TE60 needs just one of the 22V NURON batteries (the larger of the 22V platform) and weighs 17.9lbs. Granted, I work for Hilti, but I am super excited to offer the innovation of the redesigned tools with the safety and data driven technology that now goes hand in hand with "no compromises" - this stuff is really cool.

@HiltiNorthAmerica2 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for your question! The name is derived from biology and human science. A neuron is the core working unit of the human brain. A specialized cell designed to transmit information to other cells, muscles, and triggering the release of hormones. The one fully interconnected eco-system, where pieces are seamlessly working together.

What’s the amp hour on these
@HiltiNorthAmerica2 жыл бұрын
Hi Cam, thanks for your question. NURON is delivering more run time than 18v, 24v, 40v even 60v tools, so amps and volts are less relevant. This is one of the reason we don't place the ah ratings on the sides of the batteries. With that being said the ah ratings are 2.6 ah, 4.0 ah, 8.0 ah and 12 ah, respectively!

So Makita has 40v x2 for 80V per tool. Will be interesting to see if Hilti manages to keep the weight down. Running more current as a 22/44V should mean needing heavier motors and thicker gauge wire to make the same power as 36/72V. Personally I'd rather see more OEMs go the 36-54V route like DeWalt/Makita (if you're going to make the batteries incompatible with the prior tools anyway). It leaves development potential to shrink the size in the next generation.

Hey there - thanks for being a Hilti customer! Our updated battery platform, NURON, wasn't created to "fix" our previous platform, but instead brings something completely new to the market. We have consolidated the 22v and 36v platforms into one, so you can reduce the amount of equipment you have to manage. Now, even larger power tools, that have only been available as corded and gas-powered, can be on the same battery platform as your smaller tools without compromising performance.
