That's right. Hilti, the top tool brand is at this crack.
Hilti have always rebranded tools for other manufacture. But they where normaly bosch tools.
This hilti gun is actualy a TJEP gun. The same gun also rebranded for Senco, Rawlplug and KMR to name a few.
The worst part is, this is a budget gun. A cheap nail gun that you cannot even get spare parts for. And Hilti is selling it today still for 1100 euro. What a joke
Hilti have quite frankly, gun to crap the last few years. Ever since they stated this fleet maintanence, they have not kept up the normal Hilti quality. But this is a new low.
I'll be sticking with makita for my tools.
Well, except for nail guns. For nail guns I'll go with Hikoki (MetaboHPT) OR Paslode.

No wonder they don’t want you getting ur tools fixed elsewhere. Fair play for pointing this out.

I sold all of my Hilti tools a few years back and went with makita. Cheap, cheerful ad does the job. Hilti has gone downhill over the past few years and not worth the extortionate price tag anymore

Most of Hilti tools are rebranded tools from other manufacturers.

Fun fact is Hilti doesn't offer the truck replace service (essentially rent a tool) in all markets. Here in Greece they just have the ridiculous pricing and just two points of sale/service in the whole country. And you must take the tool to them.

They shouldn’t be allowed to get away with that. Disgraceful and very underhanded

Hi Dean love the videos, afraid the boss got one of these, gun is fine so far but could do with a good cleaning and service, I’m just wondering apart from the obvious screws on top, is there any other screws that holds the chamber piece from the body.

It's absolutely identical to the bostitch gun

KZbinr called singlecams bought a very expensive Hazet impact wrench over $1000 and then showed the exact same thing was sold here in Canada as a Mastercraft (Canadian tire house brand) for $300 at the time

It's not unusual for brands to do this. It's quite common. It's a win win for all. They do it with tried and test products. The brand gets a good machine that's liked and saves them having to design their own. The maker sells more units. The buyer buys the branded one for a bit more but knows the brand trusts the tool. But somewhere this has got mixed up and now premium brands think they can sell cheap crap and put a 200 percent mark up on it. It's a joke.

@@deandohertygreaser same with hand tools. Eg NWS (a German maker) makes pliers for Milwaukee and others. They are good tools, but you must know its always cheaper to buy the OEM maker than the rebrands.

Tjep is the same .. i bought one got 8 years out of yhe rawlplug i had.. the tjep was 530 including vat.. I reckon the motors are made by a separate company these all just buy it and put their own casing on it.. everything is made in China now.. the motors are all the same.. and batteries too... all just put there case on them

Tjep, Hilti, Bpro, Rawlplug, Fischer, Senco, Smart, Wurth, Bostitch. All the same nailers.

I have send this nailer to hilti for service at 10 years old last year. They did service it, €739 for replacing parts without giving me a call if i want the repair or a new machine, new one would have cost €850. Last month it went belly up again, trew it in the trash. A €739 repair, almost the cost of a new machine had just 3 months warranty according to the salesperson at Hilti. So no more Hilti for us.

that is unbelievable, Hilti has gone to pot. They use to be top of the range with out question. not they are the same quality as all the rest, sometime lower quality. But at 3 times the price. I would never recommend any Hilti tools now.

@@deandohertygreaser Yep, we've gone to the Paslode IM90Xi, been great (in the week we have it). Other thing with Hilti is the Battery's. It is nice that they want to do a shout out to their home country, but to do that by making the Nuron battery the size of Lichtenstein is a bit much. 😅

is this actually true, as i mean the hilti nail gun literally never misses a beat, all other nail guns we’ve previously used always misfire and just aren’t as good.

Yes. No suprize from hilti. They have always use some rebranded tools. But this is crazy. Using cheap budget tools like this and charging extortionate money for it. Hilti is not what it use to be

Ahh Hilti what a joke of a high end professional tool brand. I work with their tools every day at the company I work for (electrical general contractor) and they are no better than Bosch or Makita 😂 Just 3x the price and unrepairable unless you send it back to the mothership. They are just an elitist brand (brand NOT manufacturer) that has outsourced everything and is just packaging average powertools in a Hilti housing.
