Thank you, our Brother Dean, for showing us how we can modify our older tools to keep them going saving us all money because right now it's getting difficult to buy groceries much less new tools.

Those old original Japanese Makita's were the absolute dogs bollox. You pretty much cannot kill them. I have a 30+ year old 1/2" Japanese Makita router, used it on a quite a few kitchen etc still perfect.

You are a true magician. Only if we had one down here, who looks after there customers. I have a cordless Makita nimbler. Overpriced and a waste of money. $664 skin only. Makita JN3201J 710W 3.2mm Powered Nibbler $882

Half moons in your boots, not for the faint hearted 🤣🤣 the old Makita and fein nibblers are way better then the new gear out there

Make sure you have a way of picking them up / containing them reliably. I used one of these once and was finding them with my feet for years.

I love your content so glad I came across your channel, quick question you said something about your shop on your live video is your shop a big shop with loads of manual & power tools on show or a small with mainly hardware etc?. Stay safe and mostly stay strong!

Just on the new cutting pin being central rather than the old directional pin, you say that the cutting head can only point forward, if you could remove the directional pin then you could cut in any direction
@patrickbonner48415 ай бұрын
Avoid that fast forward crack , that other channels use wild hard to stay interested fen the content is been speeded up ,

well done , they are a mighty nibbler , but boys those little toe nail clippings get everywhere , I find me digging them out of my boot soles for weeks . on a slightly different not , a while ago you repaired a hilti random orbital sander with the round base plate using a makita part as it was in fact a Makita sander just made in red , would you know if the Hilti WFO 280 is in fact a malkita too , as I could do with some spares and dont know where to get them , many thanks T

Great video Dean 👍🏻 Question, I’ve got an old but gold TRUMPF N325 nibbler. The Fein RS 649-4 is the same machine too. Do you have in your array of spare parts, have a set of punch and dies for it? Be great to hear from you! Cheers Stuart

I'm affraid not. Iv had them in for repair before, very good tools. Buy decided to not stock any parts as iv rarely ever seem them come in.

The fact the new pin is central can it not be rotated to give a sharper cutting edge as older edge losses it's sharpness?
@queazocotal5 ай бұрын
It will wobble randomly round very slowly as it's not fixed in orientation by the pin, and wear evenly over a wider area. This may or may not help life much, as it'll depend on how it cuts in combination with the die, and if that bluntens it's not going to do well anyway.

Does makita charge for this software for parts compatability you are talking about? Even if they do where do i download it at? Their website?

@tonydaddario47065 ай бұрын
No, it's a 30+ year old machine. Either import blades or modify blades you have to fit.
