This drag race is inaccurate. Neither bakkie was fitted with the customary "Statsboer Tralies" for putting their imaginary sheep on in their residential areas farms nor were they driven with the optional 500kg Ego Package with the arm holding the door on. The Ford also needed the ridiculous fake raptor bodykit for aerodynamics and the bonnet scoop that is glued to the flat and closed bonnet.

Guessing you drive a 1984 citi golf? Maybe when you leave your house some time within the next 3 months you'll notice how many farms are actually within city limits actual "stadsboere" if you will. BTW although I farm in the city with sheep rails on my bakkie doesn't mean its exclusive to farmers, anybody transporting equipment or goods uses them
@musclehogs3 жыл бұрын
@@varkgriep Yes there is farmland around you are right, as well as those who use them for practical purposes they are useful. However those who use these "stadsboer tralies" for actual practical purposes are few and far between nowadays. It has gone from a practical modification to one's vehicle to a status symbol. Probably 90% of the people fitting them to their vehicles fit it for cosmetic purposes. Just like the ridiculous fake raptor kit, and the even more ridiculous bonnet scoops which are fitted. And then the attitude of the people driving these vehicles is just atrocious, and generally it is white middle aged men and that is coming from a white middle aged man. Judging by the number of likes this comment has, everyone knows what I am talking about. It is no longer an Audi or Mercedes tailgating one, it is a Ranger or Hilux. Driving like an entitled swine, generally Ranger or Hilux with the kit on and a white middle aged man with his arm holding the door, giving you the "hhhmmmmmrrrrrrrph" look as he drives by. I am generalizing yes, however most of the time this is the case. Same as taxi drivers, they are generally the swines who have no regard for the rules of the road. And if we are measuring cocks I happen to drive a 2014 BMW X5 Xdrive40D which has a proper 3.0 diesel engine with 230kw and 630nm, if I need to move anything I just put the rear seats down, or heaven forbid I rent a trailer.

Well I have a manual ranger 3.2 single cab 2013 with more than 170k on the odo. Whilst it is not as refined as the newer bakkies it only stands 2nd to the v6 Amarok 0 to 100, but even from 120 upwards that Amarok v6 gearbox keeps on working whilst my 6th gear sits with it until the speed limiter stops the acceleration. Even when taking on the newest twin turbo 10 gear ranger my single cab leaves it lengths in the rear view mirror. That said I don't dare switching of traction control as it is much easier to step out of line than a Toyota 86. On gravel the newer bakkies will easily be able to outrun my ranger as it is way to light without load to try exceed 80 on good gravel.
